I had a privilege of driving a shorty at UPG 25 in Colorado thanks to Dean T.
It was like a dream come true.
Obviously I did not push the car to its limit but got enough sense to "feel" what it's like.
It does feel a lot like a 20v ur-q power wise albeit a lot more laggy and punchy (like a 20v ...

So the B-pillar cut I performed was a little too optimistic.
Lucky me I had couple new inner pieces (full length) for reference.

Once the B-pillar is established it will get located on the rocker panel and welded in.

However last weekend she is off to the body shop to get the chassis welded up and all of the body work completed. Something I lack skill in and patience.

I have a brand new set of 7A ignition leads.
Thought they would fit my 3B, they do not...
I would be willing to trade for new set of 3B wires if anyone has some kicking around...

Yes, the connecting piece is on its way from Audi Tradition.. it is magnetic so when you close the hood it maintains the seal with the airbox.
Very cool setup.

Is the 3B smaller than an ABY?

Also, I would like to find just the top half of an ABY and use a V6 bottom half to save on international shipping costs (smaller box).

Not worth it... the V6 bottom has its clips in a different position and will not work on ABY top BTDT.
Also ABY bottom has a nice ...

2 sets of RS2 lights collecting dust here.

1st set modded to accept B3/B4 turn signal bulb socket and some LEDs in there too.. for the modern look.
These also have some HID bulbs in there.. I can include the balasts as well. $400 plus shipping.

Vacuum switch is just that.. a switch side (low amps) for the relay.
The power side goes via the relay to the pump.
Remember a 40A fuse in line before the relay.
