Meet and greet

Carlisle 2018 (tshirt info added!)

Postby AudiSport4000 » Mon Feb 26, 2018 8:14 pm

It's our 14th year for the Audi Club at Carlisle! All Audis--all years--welcome!

The show/get together = Friday May 18th thru Sunday May 20th, 2018 (this is the Import Performance Nationals) held in lovely Carlisle, PA at the fairgrounds, right off of the PA Turnpike.

If you're new to this...search the forum for "Carlisle" and you'll see a ton of posts and photos from years past.

Many folks arrive bright and early on Friday morning to set up camp and get acclimated to the grounds, visit the swap meet/vendor area, or just hang out!

Market Cross has been booked for Friday at 6pm! When you email me please specify if you would like to join and how many will be in your party.

HOW TO:

We're all going to register under one name--The Audi Club. (It's actually on a drop-down on the registration site)

The direct link at the bottom of this post will let you register online if you have a credit card.

Or to check out Carlisle's main site, go to http://www.carsatcarlisle.com. Go to "View Our Events" at the top of the page and the Carlisle Import Performance Nationals will be a few spots down. Click "View Event Details" for further information and to register. Ensure you select "2017 Carlisle Import Performance Nationals Nonjudged Showfield" as there is a separate link for KIT cars.

*****If you register before APRIL 16th you will receive a 10% Gate n Go discount. Your sticker will be mailed to you. Once you register you will be emailed a receipt - Please bring this to the event*****

The cost is $40 for the first car you bring. This $40 includes you, one guest, and your car for the entire weekend!
On that same link, you can also register to camp for $40, and you can register for both in one transaction. Camping is on-site, near where we park our cars, and there's a shower/bathroom facility with electricity, warm showers, flushing toilets, lovely bathroom attendants (Butch and Angie!), etc. If you plan to partake in any boozing that may occur, I strongly suggest camping so there's no issues with driving to your hotel afterwards.

You know the drill: PLEASE EMAIL ME ONCE YOU REGISTER: theaudiclub@gmail.com (please be sure to include your name, online handle, vehicle, where you are coming from, and if you will be joining us for dinner at Market Cross).

Tshirts will be made this year again and I'm working with Scott on the design, so more details there soon. SHIRTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE :) Thanks to Scott again for his work on these!!

I have reached out to George about the Mechanicsburg Audi breakfast. The breakfast is on as usual!

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Carlisle had posted a TBT photo. This was from 2005, our 2nd year meeting as a group!

One thing I did want to mention that has been not at the forefront in years past. Carlisle does partner with Toys for Tots, which we can all be a part in. Typically this is headed by the Renault crew, but Ed at Carlisle mentioned this to me, so I wanted to rally up some interest and pass this along. I'll be doing some donating this year and I'd encourage everyone who is coming to do the same. Its for a great cause! I have been a volunteer on a different front (Junior Achievement for the past 20 years), so I'm a huge advocate for this stuff :)

The weather forecast is not looking great. I'm really hoping not to have a repeat of 2016 where it rained just about 24/7 for 2 days. I had to stop and buy new shoes and socks on the way home cause my feet were soaked

Your not wrong, I've been watching the forecast and Friday is going to be rough. Saturday is going to be hit or miss...

Yeah, trying to decide if I’m making the trip or not. Friday is my sons 8th birthday so I’m already an assh*le for going. I did buy some waterproof pants today though!

YASSSS

Now, with the weather we will likely be camping in the car. That being said, there is a chance we will bring the CRV and not the 4kq. This is a decision we will make tomorrow. Just tossing that out there so there are no surprises :)

See you guys this weekend!!!! If anyone needs or wants my cell feel free to PM me.
