Even if we leave it in the back yard under the cover we will throw a block and head into it for mock up. If I put it in the garage I may have to sleep there also when Renee sees it. On second thought that sounds like I could get it done faster that way. :-)

I love those BBS wheels, what are they, RF's or something like that?

They are BBS RF's in 16x8 wearing 215/50 rubber. They do a good job of filling out the fender wells.

Under the watchful eye of Damien I wrestled the beast of a harness out of the UrQ today. Im sure installing this thing was no more fun than trying to get it out without ruining it.

The good news is: either the fuse box was replaced at some point or it just never suffered from overloaded circuits. There were no crispies found back there.

So, I guess at this point its fair to say I can't turn back now right? It's going to be fun figuring out all the little functions that the MAC-14 controlled, like warning lights and gauge readouts... This was a very complete install of the MC2 harness.
So thats enough for one weekend, this week I will concentrate on getting it up in the air and removing the the exhaust / DP / manifold. That will allow me to get a couple side projects done like the center support bearing and the engine / tranny mounts (ship 'em quick guys!). It's gonna get messy soon too as I pull the turbo and plumbing, my virgin floor...
Anyone have some suggestions for me at this point in the game?

looks good Sean. I think you are finally committed though. It's still not to late to go 20v and I hear you have one sitting in your garage with manifolds and everything! Sorry
Hey, we need to talk about your surplus wire, igloo, downpipe etc for my nephews 4k MC conversion. His stock motor is about on it's last leg. It now burns almost as much oil as gas and you think it didn't have any power here, he says you ought to feel it at 7000 feet where they live! He drives Pamela's old 4k since she got the coupe GT.

i just noticed there is a second page to this thread!! Sean dosnt need anything stupid fast. I finally convinced him to take my URQ for a drive, and he didnt even rev it over 4 grand.. he is turning into an old man.. a 20v will do JUST fine!! I think that 28r will be nice for him.

Brandon, The problem with going out to the garage to work is that I am trying to figure out O2 adaptation on the TT. I saw your other post. :bashtard: If I can't get it reregistered I can't work on the Ur.

I made mixed progress this week, Since I didn't get the density mounts until late in the week I decided to work on my euro light repairs. I bought a set that needed major reconstruction to the mounting tabs, after pondering for a month or so I picked the path. I used 1/16th aluminum and cut and bent it into tabs to reinforce the broken or missing pieces. (i have several pics of the process which I will add, but likely to the body section)
Everything got a nice bath in PB Blaster in hopes of freeing up whatever bolts and nuts I need to crank on later.
I got the engine mounts changed GGRrrrrrrrr This is never fun is it??? Im sure the track density mounts will hold things in place much better than the stock pieces they replaced. Of course the mount under the turbo was trashed - but I can't imagine ever changing that one without the CIS out of the car. Gladly mine was. I will spend some time making some heat shielding for the new one.
I got the driveshaft out this weekend in preparation for changing the center support bearing, also to make way of the tranny removal. I'll be installing the Aluminum flywheel and changing the T/O and probably the pilot bearing too. I have no idea which pilot bearing I need until its apart. The engine being an MC2 calls for a different one from the UrQ and there are even two to choose from based on which year the 200Q donor car was...

Short update on this weeks work since my hands are so sore I can barely type...
Passenger side of the engine is bare, all CIS and turbo/DP are gone. Amazing stuff PB Blaster is! Not even the wastegate nuts gave me a fight!
I dropped off the driveshaft at a local place here to get the center support bearing replaced - they had it done in a few hours (with about 12 ahead of me they said) $44 and I supplied them with the bearing - can't beat that. That new bearing sure spins nice!
I wrestled with the prick of a clutch lave cylinder tonight, it has only been in there for about 4k miles and I never-seized all of it on the way in. I started with the wrong sized drift and it was down hill from there. Finally after a few new cuss words I managed to get it out.
Everything is loose on the trans and it is ready to drop - tomorrow... I need to do some cleanup and gather up the tools and stuff before I go any further - don't want to lose anything or forget what-goes-where in the process.
Stay tuned for the adventures of which header / which intake / which engine...
Sorry no pics yet - but this wasn't anything to see this week.

I'm pretty sure my software just needs to be tweaked for my setup. I've tried every piece of hardware....

Yea I got it figured out....had a small vacuume leak that the computer was trying to compensate for, but ran out of adaptation and would throw a code. It's fixed, but the Red pill is still out back under the cover. We have been working on the blue pill however as it way more likely to be ready by August.

Well, anyone can agree with the fact that unless there is pictures, nobody gives a honda.
So, after a couple weeks I can update my project accordingly.
I got the center support bearing replaced by a local driveline shop, I had the part, they installed it for about $40 - well worth it in my opinion.

After a little tradin' and bargaining with the local folk, I came up with this combo. That should spin up nicely huh?

So I got this far with it and grabbed the lil box off the shelf with my new T/O bearing and upon opening it noticed that one of these things is not like the other... A closer look shows a prefix of 01E - thanks Blau... I ordered this two+ years ago for a rainy day. That was the end of my evening, now I'll just wait for the new one to show up.

Ooooooh it's gonna breathe nicely - anyone recognize this?

Thats enough for today, GT2871r is on the way, and there is something big coming your way in the shape of a trick 20v intake manifold, can't lay all the cards on the table quite yet though. :-)
