Looks good but, why not just remove the check valve?

I need it to act as a banjo bolt as well. Well I guess I could have rigged something up if I had had a banjo bolt with the right threads, but this worked as is with very little effort (drilling it out took a minute)

Since I'm waiting for stuffs to arrive, what would you guys get with a $50 credit from 034? Something that every car should have... I was thinking wheel studs, or maybe a new set or two of fr5dtc plugs. I was planning on waiting a bit to see if there is anything I really need when it comes time to driving it, but I think I've got everything pretty much covered except the plugs.
fpr maybe? Give me some ideas...

OH, and, let's talk about tires for a minute. Right now on the borbets are 195/45/16. They are a bit stretched and I'd like a more straight sidewall and bigger contact patch. Will 205s be a big enough jump? I am assuming they're 7 inch runs but I'm not sure on that. I was also thinking perhaps moving down to 40 sidewalls but I don't want the ride to be ridiculous.

40 sidewalls should give you a decent ride still. I like using them anyway. 35 is where it gets uncomfortable (though it seems to depend on other things like brand too).
If you can fit a 215 then why not?
$50 from 034? Eh, sell it to someone else? Just kidding

Plugs are always a safe bet, especially when you are running lots of boost and fouling those coppers for whatever reason.

034 throttle cam, because your WILL break.
Skip the plugs and get the cheapo NGK's. They work phenomenal in my car (and lots of others), are in stock at most parts stores and are very cheap

.

Every time I feel sorry for myself running 255s under my URQ at the track watching stock Evos with 275s, I remember that 4ktq guys are rocking 205s

Cool, I'll go 40s then.

Also, I was honestly going to put that in my post, but I've been a good boy so far so I didn't. But LOL

Weird, never seen a throttle cam break. I have a few spares around that I can toss on

I'll go ahead and get the bkr7 plugs from my local Canadian Tire then... they have em in stock and are cheap as you said.

I do like BKR7e's, but I used to go through them pretty quickly on the Audi. Every other car I have used them on has loved them though.

Hm. I might get impatient and if I have time try to "bore out" one of the head gasket's we've got here at the shop by hand...

Painted the valve cover as well. This stuff is weird, it's called Vinyl coat or something. Goes on like plastidip but it dries hard. I have no idea how durable it is, we'll see. I also tried boring out the head gasket (on an old used one). After a minute or two it was around .75mm bigger, so I could probably do the whole thing in an hour. I'm using a sandpaper type wheel thing on the die grinder. If I have time to work on the car this weekend and if the bored out gasket doesn't arrive I'll have a go.

Just curious, but why not just use actual paint? Looking good though man!

My dad has A LOT of stuff on a lot of shelves in his shop. So I use it

It's actual paint, I was just expecting it to be more like plastidip (soft and sort of rubbery) but it turned out harder. I coo widdat

Seriously though, any input on the diy head gasket boring/reaming? It likely won't be perfectly round, but is that a problem as long as I make .5mm clearance to the bore all the way around? Obviously I don't want any little sharp bits or snags etc.
The only thing is that it might not even get me ahead because I still need the rest of my turbo

sigh... I'll probably just wait
