FOR SALE - AAN swapped Audi 90Q

I'm moving on to the next project and this one is now for sale. Putting this up and may eventually go to Bringatrailer or Carsandbids but want to give you nerds the option first

Oh yeah,
I made a driving video too. A couple nearly full beans pulls near the end when I turn around on the highway and one in 2nd gear right at the beginning.

Re: Ben's 95 90 Quattro 20vT - now with corn power!

Hi All,

Been a bit since I sent the parts off to paint

I'm really happy with the way everything turned out!

I had a local audi enthusiast do a little photo shoot here in Cincinnati and I'm really really happy with the results:

I don’t think it is. The car is bone stock other than the Momo wheel.

Re: Ben's 95 90 Quattro 20vT - now with corn power!

A little more going on with this car this week

Finally going to tackle the paintwork that I've needed forever. I had a guy do the one side of my 924S and he is confident he can match the Pearl White

Going to fix the blemish on the trunk lid. The previous owner closed her garage door on the car I ...

Re: Ben's 1978 Porsche 924

So since the car has sat for so long, I decided to send all the CIS stuff out, deal with the fuel system so I could minimize any fuel issues as I go

I sent this stuff all to CIS Flowtech in Fairhope AL and got it back about 4 or 5 weeks later:

Re: Ben's 1978 Porsche 924

So, What's wrong with it?

I don't totally know yet but there were a couple things that were obvious

The "broken fan belt" was a broken water pump and Alternator belt. this broke because the water pump was frozen. Not only that, but there was a bunch of sludgy sandy mess behind the pump once I got ...

Ben's 1978 Porsche 924

Hi all,
I found another project a few months back. This one is pretty cool. 1978 924 Limited Edition.

The “Limited Edition” was the special car they made in 78. 77 got the Martini, 79 got the Sebring, 80 the Le Mans - etc.

The 78 LE is different in that it has:
Dolomite Gray with black and ...

Re: Ben's 95 90 Quattro 20vT - now with corn power!

Spent a little time on the car today!

The tail of the 01E has been leaking since the rebuild and I have also had a really difficult time with the shifter. REALLY notchy shifting which has driven me crazy.

I was prepared to pull the transmission but didnt end up having to. Was able to do the work ...

Re: Ben's 924S

They do. The US bumpers are similarly ugly

If you want a 944 - do it soon. They are going up in value quickly.

This car is a 924S which was sold in 87 and 88 but is basically a pre-1985 944 without the flared fenders. Same 2.5L 4 cylinder Porsche motor as the 944s - not the Audi 2.0 4 cylinder ...

Before:
If you remember, the PO had it hit in the door and back quarter.
I have replaced the door and a couple other dented parts. Here it is stripped down to go to the body shop:

A bit of an update on this car.

Re: Ben's 95 90 Quattro 20vT - now with corn power!

Hi Brent,
I think that my issue is the compressor. Its still pretty hard to turn by hand. I have been sidetracked by other projects in the house and other cars to mess with this one too much lately but it's getting back up on the lift soon to get a bit of attention. I'll let you know what I find ...

Re: Ben's 95 90 Quattro 20vT - now with corn power!

Can you check that the AC isn't overcharged?
AC belt over tightened?
Compressor spins freely by hand?

Might also be worth checking your negative grounds - Does it exhibit similar behavior when the rad fan kicks on?

It's almost winter just take the belt off ;)

Good questions:

the Belt isn't ...
