I heard a few days ago it was cancelled this year. I can't imagine how frustrated some competitors must get after all the time and prep getting ready. I hope it dries out for next years competition.

Here is one of many compressors that will work. Four seasons also makes a O.E style.

Thanks for the links Jared.

Re: Wtb working ac compressor to fit 91 200

Can I ask why you don't just upgrade to a R134a compatible compressor? You would also need a retrofit Oring kit, the cost probably wouldn't exceed finding a original compressor. Not to mention r12 is no longer available. Just a thought.

Re: Xona Rotor Turbochargers. Anyone else heard of them?

Why u no EFR?

BW has left a bad taste in my mouth more then once. On my B5 A4 I went from a gt3076 to EFR 7163 Per recommendation of my best friend and full race. First two turbos I got had MAJOR casting flaws. Third turbo was great..until I started the car. It blew oil right out of the turbine ...

Xona Rotor Turbochargers. Anyone else heard of them?

So I was pretty much set on buying a FP GT3586R. I called FP and they told me about a new line of turbos they are carrying. Ive never heard of them, after some research they seem to be a decent turbo. They use a "variable preload angular contact bearing system". I guess a GTR just broke the pump gas ...

Nice, another great option. Price seems very fair as well. Chris, have you heard anything abut 1700s coming from FID? I follow Paul Yaw (owner of injector dynamics) on Facebook and the 1700s seem to be the next big thing over the 1300s.

Torx plus is not the same as the ribe m

Your PB picture shows a regular torx. While Austin is correct (as usual lol) in that RIBE are different then Torx Plus, if you have ever seen them side by side there is not a whole lot of difference. Ive been using torx plus on both types for years now ...

They are called Torx Plus sockets. The size you need to order is TP30. Here are some pics. Sorry for the links, the pics are huge.

Yeah I don't know the exact name, I'll check tmw at work. Napa auto parts had the whole set for like $40 bucks. They are extremely tight, I had to use a torch to get them off.

I think the brand is called Carlyle . You can kind of see the box. I can tell ...

Don't get a ugly t44 avant. It will make your beautiful car collection in your drive way less appealing. :hide: Haha I say urs6 avant or bust. Or or you could buy my e39 540i wagon. 6speed, 98k miles. Then I can build my 200!

Lost timing reference????????

So I swapped factory cams back into my 200. It fired up and ran fine. I shut it off and put the front bumper on for a test drive. As I was cranking it over I heard what sounded like a "crunch" noise followed by a loud "thud". The thud noise is audible at the end of the cranking period. I thought ...
