Re: Ls1 in a small chassis?

I would think major work would have to be done just to keep the motor from sticking out the front of the car. LS7 is easy power but the mods needed would offset that for me unless I was going Rs4k style and doing a tube front end.

Re: Need opinions ASAP on A6 4.2

Sorry for no update.... I missed buying the car by a day but.... The search continues for one because I have fallen in love with them. I never used to like the A6 but now i totally see that they are great especially with the v8. That said it is a lot of HP for that transmission.... There are a ton ...

Need opinions ASAP on A6 4.2

So i have an opportunity to pick up an 03 A6 with 113k on the clock for a crazy low price. The owner says it has a transmission issue (surprise surprise) but he said this about it:

Hi Michael - If you're driving the car normally, you'd never notice. If you're in a situation where it tries to shift ...

Yah it was insane.... I absolutely cant stop thinking about it at all. I described the high after to someone as probably being on PCP mixed with bath salts and wanting to fight cops naked.

Why I now love NASCAR and other adventures....

Here I am in Birmingham Alabama for work, on a weekend, with nothing to do. Naturally, like many would do I take to scouring the internet looking for fun things to do but nothing sounded interesting to me. I really liked the Barber Motorsports Museum but the problem was that it left me wanting more ...

Re: THE Garage/Workshop Thread

Here is what I work with.... its not the biggest (only a two car) but thanks to my severe OCD I have maximized the space. It supports the Audi well and other projects around the house. Its nice because it has a sink in it and I cant tell you how much I love that one thing about it. I also ran the ...

Re: Nitrous on an i5

There was an old QW thread with a guy that did it. Pretty sure he was turbo too. I would be really hesitant to do it on a JT for example or anything that the piston rings haven't been properly gapped on for NOS. A turbo motor could probably handle a shot though I would think.

Re: Mike's 87 4000CS - New stuff

Thanks for the info I really appreciate it. I was reading a thread that recommended the Suzuki XL7 joint m but I was planning on getting the old one out and taking it with me for comparison. I am lucky enough to have a Summit Racing retail store by the house and they are cool about pulling parts for ...

TT seats would be really nice. I have seen people do the entire TT interior in VW's before even the dash.... That would look good in a 4k :-)

Re: Mike's 87 4000CS - Wheel spacers for Ben

one thing though that I wanted to bring back to the car were the special color keyed mirrors. I think it really makes a positive change to the way the car looks and the old ones were painted over in black by the previous owner.

Only problem is that I didnt want to break out the gun and mix the ...
