Re: Marc's 1990 4.2L V8 Twin Turbo Coupe Quattro

got the nose pulled this weekend. Cooling system is going to get a major re-work. not enough fan area so i'm likely to add an additional auxillary radiator to the passenger fender area.

11 year bump?

Just picked up a c5 RS6 motor for the car. Going to pull the motor and swap to factory me7 (we tune these all the time). Turbos will likely change while I’m at it from what’s in there now.

Kinda excited to revive this thing. Needs a thorough interior cleanup and probably a vinyl wrap.

Re: '87 4KQ Engine Swap Guidance Needed

07k is a great engine, but the cost and complexity of getting that to mate to the 4kq is going to be a show stopper unless budget is no object.

250-300hp is easy AAN territory. yes its 90's tech but there is a reason everybody does it. fairly easy, it works, and makes great power.

2019 will be the year of the urq. or mine anyway.

This car will be running and driving by the end of the year. on 07k power.

So, to get my mojo moving I started playing with oil pan ideas. to "get r' done" I think I'm going to attempt to modify the stock pan to fit the subframe. I did some testing ...

Re: Part number for Bosch W/B O2 Sensor with VEMS PnP?

the connectors are different between 4.2 and 4.9

I personally prefer the 4.2. I've tested both extensively and find the 4.2 to be tougher in the long run while providing nearly the same response time. the 4.9 is marginally faster response, yes.

for a 4.2 I use bosch 17014. 4.9 is harder to get at ...
