So I decided to go to 40's in a bag for the first time, the coupe needed a lot of stuff done so I was just going to ride with friends. Something made me change my mind though and decided last minute to try to get the coupe on the road.
registered and insured it on friday about 4pm.
6pm the surgery began;
lifted suspension so there's about a 5" tire-fender gap
turned the offset solid mounts to max caster and then eyeballed the alignment (i got close, turned out to have slight toe in, camber was very close)
resealed both tail lights
put rear interior all back in
got the stereo working again (hardly used it thanks to lovely 5pot noises)
wired up turn signals in the rs2 lights temporarily
painted the tsw imola wheel center disc and nut
did a bunch of other lil things.
4am the surgery ended.
drove the car to wally world 10 miles away to get a new bulb for the tail light, drove it back. "Thought" i torqued down all the wheels (i might have been a little tired). Then got ready and drove an hour and a half away to meet up with friends, then drive 3hrs to the show. Sadly i only made it another hour and a nasty shaking started from the front right so we immediately pulled over and looked at the passenger front wheel, couldn't figure it out so we left the car and I hopped in my friends chevy 3800 turbo volvo's back seat with no seatbelts and road to the show fearing for my life lol. After the show my friends dropped me off to the car and we quickly realized that the front left wheel was loose, so we tightened it up and test drove it and it was fixed. I was swearing up a storm that i didn't get to take the car to the show because of loose lug bolts.
Anyways, the car drove pretty well for the 4hrs i driven it so well. Needs a proper alignment and some other things.
to do list for carlisle:
install my dual round votex lights
finish speedline wheels, mount bfg all terrain tires
modify inner fenders for clearance with the tires
install allroad fender flares
center driveshaft carrier
lower rear subframe 1" with new bushings for control arms
fix any other rubbing issues
**MAY finish 3" lifted coilover suspension** it's probably not smart to attempt to rush that and then cripple myself for the show
**MAY finish mounting the brush guard** need money for fab time
pics!

4/5 speedline wheels didn't come out so well with the plastic bolts, so i removed them and will be installing black anodized aluminum ones

1/5 of the speedline wheels came out fine, so this will be the spare mounted on top of the roof basket.
