Vems pnp for 3b question

Postby quattrobros » Fri May 25, 2018 6:33 pm

Ive been running the vems pnp setup for about a year now and im curious as to what is all not being used.

There are two knock sensors on by block and i dont think vems uses knock detection at least not im my case. Can anyone confirm this? Can i remove them?

also i see some poeple dont have an isv? How do i go about doing that?

Just trying to clean up my harness as the motor is not in the original car.

How to wire stock knocks to vems?
Guide for dummies please.

OT/ Maxxecu points to use Bosch 0261231046 sensors which only have 2 pin connectors vs stock 3 pin ones, and are not polarity sensitive.
Maybe vems needs these as well instead the stock ones? /OT

Not sure about what you posted from Maxecu but MANY people are using stock knock sensors fine on 3B and AAN or with stock bolt-through version from either on the older 10vt's as an update. Wait until you see the FAQ concerning dialing in the knock settings lol! Don't be discouraged and decide if you want to run one or 2 sensors from the start.
