Part number for Bosch W/B O2 Sensor with VEMS PnP?

Postby IslandRinger » Tue Jul 24, 2018 4:12 am

Anyone have a part number or know the specific model of Bosch LSU4 Wideband O2 sensor that is used with the VEMS AAN PnP setup? I feel like this is an easy question to answer but I'm getting conflicting info with either the LSU4.2 or LSU4.9 being used. I understand the the 4.9 is the "better" of the two but 4.2 is used with a lot of standalone units. Not entirely sure if the connectors are the same or not. Just want to make sure that all will be compatible before purchasing.

the connectors are different between 4.2 and 4.9

I personally prefer the 4.2. I've tested both extensively and find the 4.2 to be tougher in the long run while providing nearly the same response time. the 4.9 is marginally faster response, yes.

for a 4.2 I use bosch 17014. 4.9 is harder to get at auto parts stores cheaply but I have a bosch motorsports part number around here somewhere if you need it.

Thanks Marc. So my initial guess of the 4.2 version being more compatible with VEMS PnP stands true then. Off to the FLAPS for a 17014.
