Limit to number of sensors to pin 28 ?

Postby nmerrill » Fri Feb 15, 2019 7:04 pm

Folks, is there a limit to the number of sensors that can get +5v from VEMS EC36 pin28?
Two triggers,
wheel speed?
Maybe others?

Yes, there is. It has a limited amperage. I forget what it is (10mA?), but you should be able to use it for TPS, Cam, and 2 or 3 pressure sensors.
Wheel speed does not use +5v unless it's a Hall sensor. You would need to find the Amp draw of each sensor you want to connect.

Why do you ask?

I figured,
TPS is in pin 29, but I'm looking at Hall/Hall triggers and probably a hall wheel speed.

Any idea of the draw for the Hall on the rear main seal 60-2 sensors?

Looks like the hKZ101 dizzy Hall is in the 10 mA range

A large wheels speed sensor looks to be in the 40 mA.

Seems like this won't be a problem
