As set up per VW's OE specs, how many teeth before TDC is the -2?

The sensor for the petrol cars is looking at the 14th tooth after the missing teeth at TDC #1.
There is another version I've seen for diesels that is different.

That is both good news and not very good news.

The good news is that the PCM that I am investigating also expects TDC #1 to occur on the 14th tooth after the missing teeth. It might be the 15th, the waveforms I have been able to find are not exactly what I want (they show a trigger on #1 ignition, not a cylinder pressure trace) but the ignition maps can just be shifted 6 degrees if that is the case.

The not very good news is that, to the best of my knowledge, the crank sensor RMS was only available on this side of the pond in a narrow window of TDIs. That's the one I'd been hoping to use, since it means replacement parts need not be special-ordered. And, I can't find a waveform for them.

I could still probably USE the TDI part, I would just have to ensure that the engine was clocked correctly before installation.
