Custom AAN Motronic mapping

Postby Marc » Fri Mar 01, 2013 2:10 pm

As some of you know we can now realtime tune maps for these ecus. This is exciting from a number of angles. custom turbos like the Iroz Motorsports billet turbos will now have matching dyno tuned software avaialble for purchase providing great bang for the buck horsepower (stock oil and water lines, stock inlet hoses, stock ecu, etc). all you need is a turbo, injectors, and software and you've got a 350whp setup for under $1500 complete (injectors, turbo, and software).

We're still working out all the details, but more info will be available soon.

Nice work!

Are these kits ready for sale? I'll let my friend know about this.

Curious if this has to be a custom chip specific to the car, or just custom in the sense that it is customized for this setup, aka If someone in europe wanted one, you wouldn't have to actually tune it live, but could ship a chip.

right, we can ship a chip without live mapping it. The intention with this chipset is for it to be conservative enough to be safe on a variety of cars. There are always slight differences we find when mapping supposedly the "same" car setups, but this can somewhat be accounted for in the tune.

I'm assuming that "custom" non conservative dyno tunes are also available if one were to, for example, see you personally and hop on the dyno, ect...

You should see the stuff he sends me links to, it's amazing. I think he even found an RS2 knockoff for $350

I've told him time and time again that if he wanted to be a cheapskate, he bought the wrong car! (95.5 S6)

of course. we can be more agressive with an "in person" tune since I can see whats going on knock response wise to your specific setup.

And in other news, I just did some successful testing on maffless motronic tuning on my s4. We now can accurately calibrate the AAN ecu speed density. So, for those of you that are looking for big horsepower but dont want standalone, give us a call to schedule a tuning appointment ;)

Wooo Hooo!

I am hopeful to be (One of) the first test subjects, this is a massive innovation for the platform especially that everything is utilizing oem+ features. Simply amazing clever engineering.

Little bit of media:

1991 Audi 200
Stock Clutch
Stock K24
120,000 miles
Tap chip, modified wastegate

I'm excited to go back to the same dyno ;)

By the way, to whom it conerns... Amazing job on the forum skin and directories.

just to be clear the speed density stuff is AAN only. not available for the 3b. I can however do custom maf tunes for the 3b (eg billet turbo tunes).

Yup, clear... and to further clarify "custom maf tunes" will be available for both stock maf and big maf on 3b?

Very cool. Excuse my ignorance but what is the main benefit from obtaining a bigger MAF? From my understanding it will allow for a higher volume of air to be sucked in, and more accurately read due to the larger sensor.

Please school me!

Also, from what vehicle would you obtain said "Big MAF"

This is reminding me of Christmas day at the age of 11.... :ty:

you only need the "big maf" (b5 rs4) if you are over 400whp. with the billet k26 you wont need it, target power is around 350whp for a car with stock rods. For cars making over that power, you need a bigger MAF, because the stock one can no longer read any additional flow.
