This is my baby girl, Nutmeg. She is a brindle pug, born in early October 2009. She will be having her first (and only) litter of puglets the third week of May. She just started to gain weight a week or two ago, and she gets a little bit bigger every day! She started waddling down the stairs this week

Here she is presenting her swollen belly for me to rub...

This little boy is Napoleon. He is a fawn pug, barely a year old, if that! My girlfriend is a marine biologist and works in the Gulf of Mexico doing marine mammal habitat restoration work for the Deepwater Horizon cleanup. She brought this little guy home with her the weekend before Thanksgiving after she accidentally found him in a random rescue in Mississippi. He's the father of Nutmeg's forthcoming litter

And this big fella is Basil, aka Buckaroo Bob, aka Mister Mister. He is also a brindle pug, and while slightly older than Nutmeg, he is actually her nephew. Basil will be 4 in July, and tips the scales at 30+ pounds! (The other two only weigh about 15 pounds) He's a pretty goofy character and definitely a "special" dog as he spent quite a while in his birthing sac deprived of oxygen before he was saved.

We are really excited about having puppies, though the week Nutmeg is due I may have to close the shop down to be with her constantly as my gf will likely be in the Gulf. I will stay with her for a few days once she has the pups to make sure everything is going OK and that her maternal instincts are in full swing. I guess I am a little freaked out, too!
