Few questions:

Will you manufacture engine mounts for the 91' 200 with the 20V 3B? (I'd be willing to test)
Rear subframe bushings for the 200? I can supply dimensions that will fit both the 200 and the UrS4 and UrS6.
How do you design your products? 3D modeling? Structural analysis? Just for curiosities sake.

Also, I have a hard time buying Audi performance parts from a guy with a username like 'AngryTaco' :P

In regards to the username, Id have to agree lol. Im going to create an alternate profile tonight.

Do I plan to design a mount for the 200 3b? Yes I do. I need to get my hands on a factory mount or the dimensions so I can design the mounting. Theoretically all I should have to do is design the mounting plate for your car and use the same rubber/poly mount. But before I can conclude that, I need dimensions.

I use Autocad to draw up the dimensions. Structural analysis at this point is basically throwing them in the highest HP car I can find and telling the owner "Break it". If it breaks, I redesign it for more strenght.

Get me those dimensions for the sub-frame mounts and we can work something out.

If you autoCad drawings, I can model them in 3D Solidworks and run structural analysis on them if you give forces. This should help during machine of parts as well, looks pretty too when trying to market. I enjoy modeling stuff up and if it will help you, I will do it completely free of charge and expect no comission.
I can also send you an old motor mount when the time comes.

PM for additional info and shoot me an email address and I'll try and get you bushing models/autoCad drawings by this weekend.

Nice, guys!

Just be careful about copying others' designs ;) There are only so many ways to design a bushing though, so I don't think that can be helped lol.

By the way, you should be able to design the engine mounts such that they work with every oldschool 5-cyl ever. They should essentially all be the same dimensionally if I'm not mistaken.

I know it's not good to copy other peoples designs, but like you said, how else can you make a bushing? :) It is, however, adjusted to work for the 200 so everyone won't have to remake in the inner aluminum bushings to fit a 10mm instead of a 14mm that I assume the UrS4/S6 have where the subframe mounts.

General consensus whether to make the bushing with more polyurethane, or to make the same bushings for both with an adjusted inner sleeve?

True that. I'll buy some for sure if/when you get it right. It should be more cost effective to have the sleeve be the adjustable part in my opinion.

I know how I can make them adjustable. Not too hard at all.

Here is my question to you, the community, regarding the sub-frame bushings.

1. Aluminum, Poly, or the option of both
2. Do you want a 1-piece press in bushing or a "split" bushing like other aftermarket aluminum ones?

I personally liked split bushings, much easier to install. In regards to material, I feel like poly works best for my needs-you can make some for street density and track density. Aluminum solid mounts wouldn't be too hard to manufacture either-but personally they scare me.
I like what Chris said that dual use bushings save on manufacturing cost. Universal poly piece and depending on the car you should be able to use a different aluminum sleeve. This is purely based on the 200, however, which I have a slight bias toward. ;)

Another suggestion - I really would have a hard time not spending money on a front strut brace for my 200, juss sayin'

If I'm not mistaken, Delrin is considerably easier to machine than polyurethane 85 durometer.

How does delrin compare to poly for noise and vibration dampening? I know it's a much harder and stiffer material, but doesn't that translate into a slightly harsher ride?

I definitely vote for split bushings. It makes install and removal oh so much easier.

Delrin will be your middle ground between poly and aluminum as far as NVH is concerned. I personally think it is the best choice in this kind of situation as long as it is designed properly to last.

I like poly, but also don't like it because of how it deteriorates over time. That said, with two-piece bushings, the install could be easy enough to justify it. I definitely like poly for its other characteristics as long as it is easy enough to change out.

Ok guys I need your feedback. And SERIOUS feedback. I have recieved my cost prices as far as the motor mounts are concerned.

I will have to sell them for $70-75 retail to make any kind of a profit. Comes with all hardware and 1 polyurethane mount in 80 durameter. A run in Rubber will most likely be cheaper after my first order or I will offer a kit for about $90 or somewhere in that area. The more orders I get, the cheaper it will be. I'm including a 2 year warranty on the mount and a 3 year on the mounting plate. These will blow any other mount out there out of the water.

I'm still waiting on a few other companies to get back with a different design as it may be cheaper but less reliable.

This design is "theoretically" indestructable.

The 80 durameter poly mounts will be much stiffer over stock. I think stock is about a 50 if I'm correct. 034's street density is a 60 and I think their track is 80. However, I dont see their track on the website anymore.
