That really depends on your power goals. I'm shooting for 450, and I'm only doing a TTRS head gasket and head studs.

By memory it's the cams that start to go, somewhere around 400 (on a stock block). As mentioned above, depending on your goals that may be enough to get going. Biggest costs to the swap are likely going to be the custom parts from IMS, which (by all accounts) are well worth the cost/wait.

How do the cams fail???? All the parts intake manifold, oil pan, mounts...i am gonna fabricate myself. While I have the motor out i wanna setup up for a mild turbo.

The cams don't fail, they just may not be the best fit for high HP levels. Having said that, I have no problems with my stock cams at 630 whp. It is fast.

If there is one thing Jim Green does not have to prove, is the horsepower his cars are making. From all the way back on his 10VT Jim has been making good HP. Once he got into 20VTs, the man has been doing good things. One of the reason we know about the problems with 07Ks, is because of the investigations Jim has done on the motors. One off intercooler and intake manifold, designed to his specs. In the top 5, and that includes shops, in my opinion as far as VEMS tuning goes.

Jim Green does not have to prove anything. If he says his car makes 630whp, then it does.

... lol

Sorry, the sarcasm clearly didn't translate on that one. I meant to imply that I was questioning whether 630whp is fast. Like how can I just take someone's word that 630whp is fast - unbelievable!!

If you want to get to me you have to go through Greg Wood first, lol.

So what you are saying is you videos. I was going to do a roll racing event, but I bailed on it since my tires are toast.
