Ouch! Hope this time it holds. Don't drive up here until you've broken it in good. Maybe I should just come down there?

Ya know, Hank, I was wondering. Did you ever paint the rest of the car that tt avaitor gray or is it still just the engine compartment?

Yeah, Ingo, it is just the engine bay right now, but I plan on putting paint on the rest of it pretty soon. Once I find a good daily driver, I will put her under the knife for the paint!! YOu are going to love the grey!

I been thinking (painful indeed). Im not sure 15 lb woulda split her open like that. I wish there was a way to see what the pressure in there may have spiked to when the revs cut.

Yea, I have to admit "Hard cutoff" doesn't quite describe the jolt. I think he said something about a backfire.

yeah, there was a mean backfire.. And I think it split it.. the hard cutoff left some fuel in the runners, which exploded... I think it was the problem... Now the intake is bomb proof though.. either that or the explosion will be really big this time!!!

Wow, that was a fast post Dude, you were just at my house like 5 minutes ago!!! Yeah, sorry I couldnt hang out more. It is cool when somebody hands you keys to a 20v urq with a 30r and tells you to have a good time!!!! I still dont have a tach though.. what were you guys doing all that time!!

Wow, I didnt know that your car is sporting the 28r!!! that thing must rip dude!! You need to start a project thread or something!!

Anywho..

For the rest of yall, we are officially ripping the car around legally now!! I drove it 3 hours to get it inspected in Utah, and put on the 400 miles to put the grand total to 600... so we rewarded ourselves with anothe rpound of boost and 250 more revs!! this thing is going to be a monster!!! Oh and I love the 5ktq tranny!! 24 MPG on the trip was pretty cooll.. that was a with a few 4th gear pulls to vary the rpm range!!
80 mph at 3k is cool!!

Dude that thing looks awesome.. That 28r is probably a prefect match for the 20v!!! the 3071r was sweet, but was a little big still..

Oh Darin, a SLC trip is in the near future... Once snow falls, you will see alot more of me.. This girl I am dating has a house up in Park City and loves to snowboard so I will be up there a bit! Now if the girl I was dating before would just give me my snowboard back.... :frustrated:

Patience young grasshopper!

Peter, Yeah, Sounds like an awesome plan.. She doesnt really understand the whole Audi car geek scene, but she will come around.. I still havent convinced her to get in the thing yet if that is any indication of the progress!!
But yeah, its great to have the car again..
