You literally just installed it and made it to the strip already? That's impressive. What et/trap have you been running?

If you experience it with a clutch switch you'll see that it's way better :)

IMO ebrake is the only way to go. Allows you to load the Trans when you launch.

Well boys I'll see you all at Carlisle. Didn't get to wiring the LC but tackled everything else.

Unfortunately Sarah won't be coming as her passport is expired. Pretty bummed about that.

If you feed the clutch out slowly to the engagement point before letting it fly you accomplish the same thing (vs just side stepping it)

Once again I agree with Mr. Ed

I can have 18 psi of boost before the wheels start spinning with no anti-lag. You just let the clutch out on the 3rd yellow. If you wait till the green...you are too late

This switch? Yes. LC? No, I've been using it by just grounding out the wire, the ghetto fabulous way. It still requires the same coordination...

And the true measurement of it's effectiveness is the 60ft time... "et/trap" can be derailed by other factors that come into play after the launch. But it's to bad we don't have numbers for Da Fridge to compare it to. Would've been nice to see those numbers and hear about your experiences at the strip with a proper LC setup.

So... what times did you run?

I'm not much of a drag guy, especially not in a C4 Audi. I'd much rather spend my time road racing. I don't even know if there is a drag strip around here.

4kq will be a lot more fun to launch !

Yes, and that is exactly why I use it on the e-brake only now.

I would have it trigger when I didn't want it to and not trigger when I did want it to. There are ways to fine tune it, but I like the complete control of using the e-brake switch.

With the hand brake does it completely delete the relay and clutch switch?. So it would only need a LC activation switch on the dash and some wiring to the hand brake?

I was also having issues with LC on the oe clutch switch.

Yes, relay and clutch switch delete with hand brake LC placement...

Damn, what a trip!

Thanks to Mikey and Brandon and everyone else who helped out for organizing and the food. Truly outstanding once again. It wouldn't be the same kinda show without all their hard work!

The car ran flawlessly, which was a huge relief and very awesome. This was definitely a highlight of this trip! Another highlight was going for a rip in Wiley's (WRC) 4k. What a beast. This thing is so well sorted it's silly. Definitely put some new things in mind for my 4k. Especially those Sparco seats... oh my word.

Another highlight was taking a new 200 owner for a ride in my car. There was one really great dropping and then rising, sweeping right hander which I took in second and laid on the throttle. The car just stuck and rocketed out, it was perfect. I got a very solemn, "holy crap..." after that :) Unfortunately I forget his name but he should be a new member on here soon. Chris do you remember his name?

All the playing with other cars was a blast too. I got to run Dan's VR6t 4kq as well as Ob's PTE5862 S6. Vids below :) On the way home a Tiburon wanted to play (I know, I know) so after I totally dusted him on a 4th gear 60mph roll, he came back up beside me and kind of just bowed down... lol. Good fun, I gave him the

That sucked. I will add in a long story when I get time tonight, but basically, in that video above, this wonderfully polite state trooper was 2 cars behind us. Doh! Thankfully he was awesome and gave us each $170 failure to obey a traffic control device tickets. Instead of $580+towing+5 points... whew!

I wish I had gotten a ride in Ed's new B5 S4. I was sad to hear the fridge melted a valve. Great to see Chris, see Jim's 07k run beautifully, meet and hang with Dana and Tim and Dave and Sue and everyone else (thanks for the shift boot Sue, pics soon!).

Pics from the drive later, gotta go see my wonderful family!

Likewise Mike! Bummer we didn't get to chat a bit more. I was so busy.

Ob, looks like you were running about 15-16* while I'm running about 9.5-10*. But you have the E85 which needs more timing. So on the timing front we'll call it a draw. But damn your MAT are sexy! SOOOOOON! I think I've got another ~50hp waiting for me.

Yeah 20*-22* is what my e85 map is pushing ATM... this probably explains the exaggerated glowing hot header/hotside and flames spittin between shifts... EGT's thru the roof too... Simple fix is to just get this on the Dyno...

On another note 4 FOX SNAKES definitely MOVES!... Brisk little thing there... Kudos on a safe trip back and forth...

Edit: 95°F-113°F MAT is about 15°-20° above ambient... I wish I could get it closer to ambient
