So I am going to sell the volvo k24. To those watching this thread, you get first dibs as I will list it for sale across the forums tomorrow. Price is $725 shipped. Porsche k26 #6 hotside, fully 100% bolt on with no modifications needed for oil/water provisions. You may need to change inlet piping a bit but I can provide the couplers at my cost (meaning you pay what I pay)

Doing this build once and for all. Dropping motor/trans and redoing the entire engine bay. Shaving it, painting, etc

Selling off everything I do not nees anymore. CIS, manifolds, head, etc all to fund the new build. Its balls out time

First you need to buy the volvo turbo.

Then you need to do a fair amount of machine work.

Then buy the porsche housing or machine an audi k24 hotside to fit.

I believe all in all that is close to what I have in it. Throw a billet ARD wheel in there and you can make some serious power out of it on a 20v.

Perhaps scubadave could tell us the total work and machine costs

Well the Porsche housing, which I've given away before, eliminates any machining needs, yeah? Then you just need to weld up the compressor housing where the BPV is but that isn't really "machining" more like a few min of tig work and a few more with a flap disc.

Like I said, I hope you get that much for it. Brand new Volvo K24's go for ~$800 and used for $400 so I'll make a couple up if you do.

ya know Sean, not everybody has your apparent resources and tools needed to make mods like this. there is no need to come off so smug. I was into that turbo more than he is asking, even before you include time spent on the compressor. this is what it looked like after I was done. FYI, it was more than a couple minutes with a flapdisk.

He's not farfetched to get what he is asking for it. what would a novice with no fab tools and knowledge pay extra for one that is ready to go?

And I'm just a guy with a grinder, a MIG welder and an internet connection. I haven't even had a garage of my own in years. I know when to strategically throw a six pack in the box with the box of parts getting dropped at the welder, but I haven't done anything *anyone* else couldn't do and a lot fewer things than most around this forum.

I would never post that in his for sale thread, but nobody came to my defense when someone did almost exactly that to me of recent. It is what it is, this "series of tubes" does seem to distort personalities so, but such is the life of niche market car people. I'll always (except with CQ window regs ) try to give someone the best deal possible, because I love seeing projects progress and I know the frustrations of working within the tight budgetary confines of most of our realities. I guess if I was Aaron this is where this post would get even longer

I think the problem here is people don't know what's been done to the turbo.

I'll admit when I first saw the "for sale" post, I thought the price was high too. I've seen people say you can "bolt on" a Volvo K24 with no mods to it or the car except swapping the exhaust housing. And the truth is, you *can* do that, with some compromises.

The trick is that this turbo has apparently had extensive work done to it so you can bolt it on without making compromises, and that adds value to it.

Anyways, I'm basically selling every performance related 20vt item I have collected right now. The new build won't be using ANYTHING attached to the current motor or head. Everything is being changed or fabricated for the new build. For those watching this thread, feel free to pm for whatever it might be.

I have been focusing on school and the business lately. However I do have some pictures and updates.

Had a few more things powdercoated in preparation for the new motor.





I will most likely be dropping the motor/trans today. I got 80% done with it last night but decided to call it a night as I was tired.
