So does this mean I'm off the hook to help move in? It is approaching the 108deg mark and moving doesn't sound fun. I'm sorry to hear that. If it isn't one thing it's another. Maybe you ought to tone that stroker down a notch.

Well, what did you expect to happen when you hit that poor little diff with that big hammer? :?
Kidding ;-) Good luck getting it back together, and watch those launches and tight turns.

I'd probably recommend against another Torsen. This is the 7th example in 3 years Ive seen failing in the exact same manner.

Is this a TorSen in the front diff? I'm not extremely familiar with the broken pieces here. Eric

Yes, front torsen diff aka a v8 rear machined to work my Scott at advanced. This was done at 25psi on the stroker or about 450whp. Torsen was cool in a strait lime but you can feel the torsen searching in corners.. ultimately I think the shock load searching is what caused a helical to twist. The v8 casing doesn't inspire confidence for rigidity, so a wavetrsc or similar diff is probably the more robust option in the front. I'll likely go back to open with a wavetrac rear. This built trans lasted all of about 1500 miles, no track days and a few break in miles..

She is now amongst some rally legands in Sean's shop till I get mine setup at the weeks end! Gotta get a trans together and slapped in there in time for bbq. Think I am going to take this trip at 18 psi and take it easy. I have net my years quota for busted stuff this year.

Burn that transmission, or find a large building to drop it off.

Glad to see you guys made it down, now take 6 hours, get some rest and then back at it! Wish Johnnyman and I could come down and lend a hand with shop setup

Of course he needed that. He also needs to ditch that skirt he's wearing and turn up the boost. 18 psi, lol. :-P
