As soon as I saw your name pop up on the thread I knew what you were going to say. Thats actually a much better idea over a 5 banger

I know, Im predictable. You seem to be one of the only people on here that have any interest in it. Make me a reasonable offer and Ill deliver it halfway. otherwise I may be forced to sit on it for longer.

It would have to be during the summer when I'm working 60 hours a week. Thats when I would be able to afford it. I get a solid 3 weeks of full time work till school starts again. And I need that money badly right now to pay off my Dakota. Less than 1k to go! I have to go down to Sun Valley in June for a wedding. If you still have it and it's in my budget, plans, planets aligned, etc, I'd love to grab it. I do plan on taking the hotrod R/T down there so I would have some sort of hauling capacity since I doubt the roof rack on the car would support an engine....although that would be cool.

I hear ya. I have come to the conclusion that I needed to consolidate my projects, cars. as I dont have a house to do the work in yet, I dont have a place to deal with big projects like this one. I really only want one High HP turbo car carpet cruiser and a more realistic DD without high maint. the 90 is the perfect DD as is but may get at minimum a supercharger/intake mani mod with a vems converted ecu. this may be more realistic as the modification is less of an impact than any other direction.

Also, I removed one of the larger shims out of the fuel dizzy. I noticed a little more torque and the knock sensor hasnt freaked out.....yet. Perhaps I was dumping way too much fuel in or something. Dont really see how too much fuel will cause knock but w/e the light isn't freaking out

Finally got around to fixing the stupid clutch pedal problem I've had since owning the car. The pedal always had a dead spot where you could push the pedal in about 1/4 - 1/2" before the clutch fork would start pushing fluid. Needless to say this is what a 27 year old clutch pedal pin looks like. With the new pin, the clutch feels brand new

I went through a couple of those on my CGT. How did the fork look? Mine were always worse than the pin.

Fork was fine. No wear as far as I could tell. There isn't any play in the clutch anymore

Did you reinforce the firwall for flex yet? I dont know if you mentioned that in a previous post. This is also one of the funky clutch problems that occur.

I see people looking for bracketed vc's all the time. From my pov, I dont understand why no one will just make a simple bracket that bolts on to a couple valve cover studs. then there is no need for an urq cable either, just tailor the bracket to the cable bieng used. I know your short on time and yadda, yadda, yadda,

just sayin.
I plan on using my bracketless cover. . .why? because the only thing cooler than an all audi valve cover is the wicked throttle linkage that goes with it! :dur:

Nice work on the clevis pin. Things will be even better when you can (in time) get a firewall brace. BTDT.
Keep it up mang.

Next on the list is this damn knock sensor. It's driving me crazy and killing my power and MPG. I'm gonna remove it from the engine and hang it somewhere. I don't hear knocking but the power hiccup is driving me crazy

Will it drive without it? Just because you cant hear it doesnt mean its not there...
What do your plugs look like? Currently fighting the same on mine.

It'll run without it but there is a very noticeable lack of power and torque
