Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT ride in this car unless you are prepared to spend 5-10k.

Freak.

I had finally driven my car with 450+whp and a wavetrac rear diff. Was all smiles after Hank showed me how to drive it properly. My car is wicked fast. I literally stepped out of my car and then went for a ride in Sean's.

580whp

525wtq

25psi.......It's a rocket ship.

I have it as ~$7k for parts (inc built bottom end) in my build workbook :) I thought the same after I drove Hank's urQ with ~600whp, followed by Dave's CQ, right after picking up my CQ  I'm not doing too bad considering after 3 yrs I've restrained myself so something closer to Dave's was at the time

Sounds like the perfect engine for a sub-3k lb RWD chassis like my 968 :D
Now to start collecting parts.

Any ideas on pump gas limits for the poor folks like me where the closest E85 pump is about an hour away?

I'd look at APR stage 3 pump gas tunes as a good indication of what could be done on pump with 9:1 lower compression pistons. Yes, no GDI, but you would have slightly lower compression to maybe equal it out. I think they are getting close to 500whp on pump with a gtx3576r which is just slightly smaller than the turbo on Seans car

100 octane ^^

Sean's car could really rev to 8000 if it wanted to, but the turbo is going to be done at around 7500 judging by the data out there, and the results we have got so far. If a guy wants to see 9000rpm the 07k is capable with just springs and cams, 67mm turbos will probably be needed. Bonus is that they will be 850whp setups at that point.

Hmm, so dad's car will be around 8k then for a 64mm. Crazy. Honestly if we break 500whp on pump 94 at around 26psi I'll be happy. We did 465 on a stroker at the same boost so I think it'll be possible. With a single 044 and ID1000s? We'll see...

As far as i know still no cams to the public unless they are test cams. I have a bucket that I'm collecting my drool in, from my car and Seans. Hoping this will supplement my lack of e85 availability for fuel consumption.

If i see 400whp on 93 with 18-22 psi on the super 40 turbo I'll be tickled. Anything above is just a bonus.
I'm planning to only go to 25ish psi on the 4kq chassis until I get more tire under it.

Dont you dare take this engine out till BBQ. See you there with mine(doubtful itll be an URQ yet)? :idunno:

Can't certain companies do cheap custom cams, aka Eagle?

You can get a regrind though Delta in tacoma. There is a company down in california that can regrind any camshaft to ANY spec.....but it's pricey. They told me $750 for a 5-cylinder camshaft but it would be whatever I specified them to make.

Or you can contact a company back east (name slips me at the moment) that will build you a camshaft out of billet

I'm sending off a NOS urq camshaft to be reground into a hydraulic spec camshaft.

I love the progress. Those graphs comparing the K26/VR6 034 Setup to the 07K HTA combo is awesome. This is the reason I like to mess around with cars. That is the fact that people like you guys will put these motor and turbo combonations together and test, and compare and test some more to see whats best. The results are amazing, just sucks now because less people will be building 1.8Ts, 3Bs and even VRs, haha.

Great work.
