I can vouch as a pretty good example... I had the car running an HX52 for all of a week when it got sent to Marc to get torn back down for the big build.

if indeed it's not optimal, worst case here is a manifold/DP swap, He can still go hi-comp Pistons, rods, built head ect later on...

I'm concerned the compressor cover will be too large to clear the exhaust manifold. I don't want to spend the extra money on a k26 housing to have it be a no go. Any ideas?

Then the downpipe won't bolt on anymore and is getting more involved then necessary. Plus I doubt there's a K26 quick spool valve out there as well as a twin scroll K26 housing.

Not as fun as an update as I'd like to be posting however I finally got around to having my headliner reupholstered. I don't have the patience to attempt something like this so I had a local shop do it for lots of US dollars. Anyway, why have it re-done in grey...no way.

The sunroof fabric has been ripped off since I got the car and sometime last year the headliner started sagging over the rear seats. The other day it finally let go at the back window and that was the decision maker. Went to setup an appointment and to my surprise it was in the next day.

I had to paint all the handles, visors, lights, etc after cleaning them good.

Your headliner/interior looks really good! I noticed that you repainted all the courtesy lights. How did you not paint over the on/off symbols? Unfortunately, I've been watching my headliner slowly fall for a while now. I am debating on trying to recover mine myself. I'm thinking of some type of ultrasuede or alcantara type fabric. If I do it myself I plan to recover everything including the pillars and dash. I'm just not sure if I should tackle such a huge project seeing as I haven't ever done any interior work of this type. Keep up the good work on your car! It really motivates us other 200 guys! Did you ever try the rear (18 x 9.5) BBS RS-GT's of your brother's on the front of your car to see if they fit without poking out too far? Thanks!

Thank you all! I am very happy with how it turned out. It was the last piece to making the interior as close to perfect as it can be for it's age.

That being said, I FINALLY sucked it up and purchased a bunch of parts to build an intercooler setup. Pictures to follow once the pieces arrive. Water to air

I never did get a chance to test fit his rear wheels in the front. I will within the next couple of weeks as I am steeling them for H2Oi, lol.

Side note, maybe you guys can try and help me figure out an issue I am having. I can feel/hear a knocking/clunking around the passengers footwell. I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. It only happens when the car is moving forward and does not seem to be related to the suspension. The transmission mount on that side is questionable and I have a new stock replacement to throw in just to try. The downpipe is very close/touching the tail of the transmission, though it's been like that since the 01E swap. Bad CV? Wheel bearing seems tight.

Any ideas?

Man, that is a pretty vague description...lol. Could be any number of things, but I'd check the inner sway bar and control arm bushings since they're in that area. Also subframe bushings.

When you say only when moving forward, it happens when cruising/not changing load? Or just when moving from a stop or braking/decelerating?

Sorry Ed, It's tricky to describe. I'll give you a ride this weekend.

Control arms are new and tight, sway bar bushings are all new and tight, sub-frame bushings are without a doubt, toast.

By moving forward, I mean moving (any direction). As soon as you're stopped, nothing can be felt even while revving the engine. Varying the load seems to make no difference though it may actually go away when under heavier load. It's most noticeable when normal cruising and stopping. Speed doesn't seem to affect it either though. That kind of rules out my CV theory.

I'd guess subframe bushings if it's not one of the other things you mentioned making contact.

The T44 doesn't have any aftermarket options for them, do we? Just stock? What are my options?
