Replaced distributor, welded up ebrake body sheet metal, and fixed alignment from that nasty snow bank yesterday......
I can not
Believe how strong the ebrake is now. It has never been this solid as long as I have owned it. Happiness!

Its pretty much bullet proof with all the filler metal I had to use. There is absolutely 0 flex in the body anymore. Makes me wonder just how well the PO treated this car....
It also helps to have a bucket of snow next to you for when some of the insulation and paint catches fire lol. Only scary part was when the rubber ebrake grommet caught fire from under the car....thats what compressed air is for LOL

Should I powdercoat the roof basket black or white? Black will look good but white would go well with the wheels? Thoughts?

Oh I know. I was considering red in the beginning but figured that might be a little too much red on the car.

Black. White will be tan/brown unless you clean it all the time

True. I thought about that and looked at my wheels which still look new from the powdercoater. I think they self clean in the water lol

I think black honestly. Idk how often you think about changing wheels on it. But they might not be white all the time.
Plus the roof rails are already black arent they?

K weird thing happening with car. Starts fine in the morning no problem. If I let it sit say for the 2 hours I'm in class, I go to start it and I have to crank and crank and crank before it fires. Runs great though. Not throwing codes. I'm thinking I need to re-tune the fuel dizzy perhaps?

or leaky injector? What's your system pressure? And rest pressure?
Nice job on the rack. I vote for black.

system pressure last checked out at approx 115+ psi with relayed pump. I know control pressure was 55psi
Not sure of rest pressure. Is that when pump is off?

Yes i belueve so.
2 hours shouldnt be vapor lock. Double check all pressures. If all seems fine tgen check the injectors

What you might have going on is your injectors leaking into the cylinders quite a bit because your system pressure is so high causing the hard starting. I think it's sort of a classic symptom of having the system pressure set too high. What you might be able to do is back off the fuel pressure some and then go one full turn or so (from where you originally started) on the individual injector adjustments ot make up for some of the flow lost by reducing system pressure. I don't think you want to go more than 1 full turn because you can damage the fuel dizzy.
Yes, rest pressure is when the engine is turned off. It'll decay down over time but if it gets too low it can cause hard starting. Usually caused by a leaky injector.
Oh, yea, and vapor lock is the other thing. Do you have the injector cooling fan working and the shroud installed (I don't see it in the picture....)? It's usually only a problem when the weather is warm though.
