I looked into custom ground valves. It was cheaper to go through 034. Thats what they did, they sent in a valve to manley and they replicated it in a mass quantity. There is a reason they dont have it listed in the catalog, it 034 specific now.

White is an excellent base on cars for custom paint and vinyle wraps. I want my next 4kq or 90q to be white or oceanic blue

QUESTION!!! I was reading the digital noise site about wiring up the tachometer. Which wire is the oil light and tachometer pickup wire? Anyone know what color it is? Anyone mind sending me a picture of the stock 4kq coil setup too for reference? I'd really appreciate it!

What fifth gear did you install? I went through your thread failry quickly to see if I could find it and found where you had removed the old gear, but failed to find what one you were going to install.

Not super sure about how to read the wire diagram but it shows the wire for the oil light being blue with a black stripe, and the tach wire is red, black, and yellow.

I used the .73 gear out of a 5ktq transmission. Same car the MC1 came from

Ordered the exhaust valves, (early style) URq balljoints, motor and trans mounts today. Decided I'd rather go with the 034 motor mounts because I think the energy suspension mounts would look a little tacky in the engine compartment. We shall see

URq balljoints are 18mm shaft size. The T44 struts Im using for my 5-lug swap require 18mm ball joints. I went with the early style URq balljoints because they are greasable. Other than being greasable, Im not sure of the exact differences between late and early style ball joints

Anyone want to buy my stock 4kq 5th gear!? Only 1 bajillion dollars!!!

On a side note, the A/C conversion has been put on hold as I do not have the financials to afford new custom hoses at the moment. All the orings on the evaporater inside have been changed to r134a specs. I guess I have to change the receiver/dryer too to accomodate the new r134a gas. So the factory hard lines are being left in place but the 5000 compressor is going to remain on the ground for the time being
