So, update.

As I neared completion, I wanted to upgrade my heat exchanger for the AOW innercooler. The OEM secondary radiator that comes stock on the coupes is a nice thought, but seemed a fizzle when challenged.

So out with the old

And in with the new

It took some to finger that thing in there to fit, but that's how this build has been from the start, it all mostly seems to work out. If not at first, tweek it here, there, then it says...ok....

So after finishing up the outside build, for the most part, I went and fired it up like it had never been apart in the first place, and took it up to brents (savagerocco) place for the emissions and safety tests. Got it through, and now I am legal.

Still have a couple minor issues with the exaust leaking and I need to put a vband on the charge pipe at the turbo, but all in all, the car feels Effing awesome! Even at less than 5 lbs of boost. Can't open er up cause of two things, the vband/charge pipe thing, and I need to drive it like miss daisy to break in the clutch. Shouldn't be long before I'm on the dyno finding out what the roof is on this tearbo!

I'm down as long as I can get the vband done first.

Yup, I just needed to DL the latest software. It worked fine after that.

He definitely has it "bling'd" out. Lots of shiny parts. Keep you hoods closed around him though, he took one look at my engine bay and wanted to bust out the sand paper right then and there!

I can't help it guys. First step is to admit you have a problem.. Some day you may hear me say that.....but not today!

I'm also a procrastinator....I'll say it later. I'm just so sleepy right now.

Dave don't let them get to you. If you noticed in another thread floating around, I'm being accused of polishing my driveshafts. I have a similar problem, but not for shiney.....just clean!!

So I've been driving my precious around for a few weeks or so. Swapped out the rear subframe bushings and trans mounts while I had the subframe out to weld/repair/paint anything on it that needed doing. Still need to order rear koni's and get em installed before Vegas. Will be doing front subframe this weekend. Also need new tires and an alignment as well. The tires I want are too wide for the wheels I have and will rub my tie rod, so I may be doing a slight bit of fab work to the front housings to boot. Possibly clocking the steering arms. Seems like the best and safest option. Havnt decided to install the LCA bushings or not. The ones that are in there aren't trash yet. I may hold off till next year.

This car is going to get me arrested! I want to dyno this thing and see what its pushing. Much harder butt dyno numbers than with the OEM K24. Real results will be nice to know for sure. Regardless, I love this thing! Freakin awsome. Of course Hanks is (I just peed my pants) awesome, but I'm not going there with this car.

A Few more pics with the phone.

Thanks all. I'm loving it every time I drive it.

It went together fast..... Actually, it was held up at almost every corner. But I have almost 2 decades of experience making this happen for other people so I diddnt flinch when I hit the pervebial turbulence. Just a speed bump.

It's probably been about 6 months since it was driven. She was due for sure, and I fell off the wagon and smacked the speed vein again. Feels gooooood.

With the motor Mounts being track density and the suspension upgrades, its actually pretty smooth for what its worth. Maybe a little hum, but entirely livable. Stereo easily drowns it out at low levels. I'm happy with the balance for sure. The car still has some room for tuning so I feel it has yet to reach its full potential.

Why yes I did see them. I also saw you said you bought said spoiler. Check in the mail? :wtf: It looks great Darin. I would come to those except for me sleeping during that happening event. Jobs have a nagging way of getting in the way of stuff. Also I have driven that full track without cones messing up the works. I might feel robbed after that.

yes, broke in. still waiting on my rear koni's to be shipped. I ordered from ECSTuning who said they had them in stock, but they lied. I have got nothing but the run-around and come to the conclusion they arent worth buying any more parts from.

getting alignment this weekend, I did modify my steering arms pulling them in a small amount. although it did take up all the slack the adjusters had. looking into weather I will have to mod the inner tie rod bracket. otherwise I have been looking at tires and what to get to replace the ones I have on my wheels. I want the best bang for my buck and have been eyeballing the bridgestones high performance summer. but they are a fair bit o cash. anybody have suggestions for 17s?

Dave you should cancel your order with ECS and get some KWs coilovers instead and be done with it. Trust me you wont regret it.
