I am looking to piece together some coilovers for my s6, and was over at the a1 site looking at what they have. My question is why the spring manufactures were mixmatched... I think I am going to use the a1 stuff. IT looks nice.

why? QA1 does not go above 650lb/inch.... at least not in the lengths i was looking at.

the QA1 springs are ~$38 each.... the Eibach are ~$57 and up. but i may just start off softer, as all i am reading about says to squat the ass end a bit, not to run it stiff.....

we will see when its done what i end up with. but springs are cheap enough.

semi-unrelated... but i got a set of wheels for the wifes coupe.

RS4 replica wheels and tires, 17 x 7.5 with 215/45-17 Kuhmo Ecsta something or others on them....

this will give me the 15's off her car now for roll around rims.

also, got ahold of a set of new G60 calipers and pads and cross-drilled/slotted rotors for the coupe since i will be running 15's. also some lowering springs and struts for the Lago as well.

home for the weekend.... and i got some fueling going on now.

Rabbit has all red/blue, so this car will be black/purple.

Fuel cell to twin 044 pumps with -10AN each.
044's to Y-block with 2 x -8AN by 1 x -10AN.
Y-block -10AN out to 10 micron filter.
-10AN from filter to fuel rail.
-6AN out of rail to FPR.
-6AN out of FPR return to cell.

and lots of those prickly hoses :x :o :D i love them so.....

and lets see, the bungs for the fuel cell, the roll-over vent, and the RCI fuel cell filler cap setup.

i also got the turbo on the way, that will wait til next time around. but its rather largish.

not a table, actually, its the box the Corbeau race seat is shipped in :D

easily more than a grand.... you dont getta tell me, trust me i know haha.

if you are going to do it right, do it from the get-go.... i spent a few hours mapping it all out, and two separate orders to get it all. only changed my mind once that required a return shipment of 4 pieces. the only thing i did not add is the random 90 or two for the -8 and -10. other than that, it should be perfect.

and the funny thing? its all put away now in bags, and boxed up. all solitary like.

that fitting on the feed side of the pump...that comes out to -8 male? that one specific fitting is tough to find cause of the metric thread pitch on the bosch pumps, i think its 12x1.5mm on that side. the place i get them through here @ napa is on backorder, go figure, lol

nope. maybe feb or march. i still gotta get the block mocked in.i am waiting on the headlights for the Lago, from Germany, so i can do the hood swap on that car. THEN i will have a hood on the race car. no way in hell that i will leave that CF hood on the car outside.... i suppose i can just put the red hood back on for now though. i want to wait to mock i the motor til its covered.

home for 1.3 days every other (normally) weekend leaves not much for car working on. basically in the AM when the wife and child sleep in. like right now i need to be out there, meditationing with it.... also gotta finalize the sunroof. i yanked (an i mean YANKED) all the headliner and sunroof mech out last time i was home. and i have some brackets to weld up to keep the panel in the car. another ~30+ pounds lost, not including all interior trim.

if i was home, it would be done. i am going out to meditate with the car, staring at its engine compartment. i am doing some think tank work on tubing the front half of the car. i "think" i have it down for inside.

Aaron I think you want to run bigger return than 6AN, I had a lot of FP spikes with 6AN lines, you need a lot of fuel to support 600+ WHP. I do have FP gauge in my car and it was going crazy with 6AN lines, now I Have 10AN return and feed FP is stable as can be.

i dont think they make those certain fittings in black aaron, ive only seen them in the earls catalog in blue, and in the weatherhead book in gold, but the weatherhead fittings only come with a -6an male end with the 12x1.5mm thread on the other side.

Between 2 sets of 700+cc injectors (1) FPR & 2 fuel pumps I am allready over the 1200 mark.I am thinking of getting SS tubing for the lines right through with flared caps.Bought all the tools to mandrel bend the pipe and cut it professionally

Just need to find these:

and to think, all of that fueling is confined to the motor bay, front left corner. no long runs of lines front/back. its all right there.

I don't see just the caps, but you might be able to use this and not use the the inner piece (it should be a 2-piece adapter):
