Well dyno time is being postponed until I can do the head on this slut, starting to smoke a bit again so I'll be doing a valve job soon, but not till after the 90q is drivable I'd imagine.
Now I just have to decide to spend the money on water manifold machining on one of my 7a heads or take a chance on having the 3b head rebuilt. Probably has some cracks and I'd imagine the guides are a bit beat, which can get expensive.
Seems like machining costs a lot more than it did a few years ago.

I love this car it's really some OEM+ goodness. Would love to hear more about the 7400 impressions.

That's inflation for you. Imagine what machining will cost when minimum wage goes to $15 an hour

Probably closer to what it should cost

Oh I don't want to talk politics but I just can't help myself sometimes.

Lol come on man
You do realize that when $15 becomes the minimum, then next guy up in the chain won't want to be making $15 to be doing the same job as someone putting in minimal effort and with minimum skill, so he will demand a higher wage, or will quit for another job. Then the same thing will happen to his superior, and it works it's way up the chain. Now that everyone is making more money, employers will have to charge more for their goods to keep from going into the red, so all goods will cost more, (or the company will go out of business, reducing competition) and $15 is no longer "a livable wage." It's realy that simple you know...
It's not even politics, it's just economics.

More likely the middle class will get destroyed because we wont be capable of switching from a 75K a year job to 125K (same as $9/hr to $15/hr) the market just wont be there.
Enough politics.
I'm planning to do the Volvo K24 setup on my AAN I am thinking of going with Marc and not VEMS but I just wanted your overall impression? Also was there any other fab work required other than re-welding the compressor outlet? I sourced a K26/6 hotside so I shouldn't need my housing machined.

Just some minor bending of the oil and water lines but that was pretty minor. So far I like the turbo, I haven't gotten it fully tuned yet as I decided to hold off on Dyno time till I get he head rebuilt, it's starting to smoke pretty bad.
I almost went with a tune from Marc, it would definitely make things easier and less hassle.
