I know you can get a 2 piece timing cover for Chevys, may be one for Dodge too?

you can but it's $550. You also need to remove the water pump (which I'd like to avoid).
Thinking about it now, you would have to remove everything in order to remove the gear from the camshaft as well to change the value.

I can't either. This thing is going to sound great. The cam is meant for a motor with 48 more cubes!!!
On the upside, valve springs will be here thursday. Hopefully I can get the pushrods ordered Thursday night so they'll be here early next week. Pushing this awfully close to Halloween....

soooooooon. Torqueing down the headbolts were an ABSOLUTE PITA!!!!!!
Can't wait to get this thing on the road and the dyno. I'm predicting somewhere around 320 whp with something like 345# torque
I would be absolutely ecstatic if I ran similar numbers in the 1/4 compared to the 4kq

I ordered them today through Jegs. If they ship out via USPS, which I assume they will due to shipping being free, I should see them potentially monday, if not Tuesday.

It still has 1 camshaft!!!!!
Pushrods arrive on Tuesday. Unfortunately, I have a math test that night and I will be studying the entire weekend and Monday. I think I can have the truck running on Wednesday or Thursday. I have Thursday off from work so that will give me the entire day to do some road tuning and fixing of various issues.

Turns out no school this morning. Advising day....what a joke. Was able to put the new plugs in the driver head and get the header bolted up on the passenger side. Got a calc test tonight so won't be working on it tonight. Got some more sleeves to machine and send out to some bushing customers

Absolutely love it. Its saving me $85 alone on the dodge for the fuel rail spacers I need to make. The thing paid for itself almost immediately and makes doing center holes and cleaning up 10x easier over a drill press

You got the 8x 12 right?
What tooling did you get to go with it?

Lol. I'll have this thing running again on Thursday for sure. It's raining right now and I chose to leave my tools at work specifically so I could not work on it tonight or in the morning. I'll have all day Thursday to do that

No actually got the 7x12
bought a drill chuck for it from HF with the initial purchase. Bought about 10 blank Tool Steels and some cutting oil. That's all I have right now. Oh and a couple center bits

This truck really makes me miss my 1973 Cadillac Sedan DeVille with the 472. I have a dream build one day of getting a 1970 Sedan DeVille, drop an El Dorado 500, twin-turbo it, Pearl Black, Deep Dish 20s, and corvette brakes.....
mmmmmmmm
