Good stuff, it looks like to much Clutch slip from start, you should be able get 1,5 60ft fo shore,
If i ever did the stuff ower, be no drag radials but slicks, I think most of the craninge was due to drag radial unflexabilitie. Next time out go get that 10xx

badass, so very badass man. Got my blood pumping watching that vid. I feel like you have a lot faster time in it just with your current setup. Little launch practice, and could be in the 10's as it sits it seems. Congrats man. So awesome.

thanks man, the car is surely an animal. and to think we've got 6 more psi to go before we are even back to the boost we were running last year with the other cams, almost makes me nervous to see what 3rd gear is actually going to do with more power.

my buddy said it at the track wednesday night..."you know youre literally a decent 60ft away from a 10.5-10.7 pass" i just couldnt get it done that day, which sucks. hopefully next sunday i can muster something better.

for now, its a great highway roll AWD car, lol.

I bet you could roll that bike at 75. Bikes have terrible aero, plus very short gears. This makes them brutally fast from 10-100, but usually power we make gets them at speed.

Looks great man. Well done.

thanks!

my thoughts too, the 55 we started from he was at a pretty good advantage since he was still in 1st gear and could obviously blast gears quicker then i could. either that, or most BOOST. haha.

Holy crap seeing it get squirrly like that in second is just something else. Is that an alignment issue or just sheer power?

car was freshly aligned about three weeks ago so i dont think its that. also, the strange part for me was that say doing a second gear roll on from 3k to redline on the street, the car never spun on me. i assume the spinning was just me getting out of the not to existent groove in the track that night, and it wasnt exactly too warm either air temp wise so that wasnt helping me either with traction.

the other thing, i listened to other people all night and kept taking air out of my normal radial street tires, which looking at it now, is the complete wrong way to go. tires like that WANT air pressure in them to work properly. last pass i ended up with something in the realm of 18psi tire pressure all around. at that point im sure the center of the tire wasnt making great contact with the ground....thats the pass you see the car get loose in second and i pedal it, then hit third.

Awesome!

Re: the alignment...double check things if you haven't yet and mark bolt/nut location with paint. Those launches and passes can easily shift things like bj's, subframes, and ca's...even when properly torqued.

thats a good point. i actually marked everything with a paint pen once it was aligned, ill have to crawl under there and make sure its all still lined up.

What was it the marshal said to you? That you had slow down because of some certification? Your trap limit 135 or something?

he cant go >135 legally until his cage is NHRA certified. and then he wears sfi gloves, sfi jacket, sfi neck brace, sfi pants, sfi shoes, sfi window net, and a host of other stuff as well, like a drivers physical, class 4 license, etc.

Exactly. And it's not that i don't think the cage could get a cert, it's just that for me who's really only going to the track three times a year max right now, it's just not something I plan on doing. Especially that list of safety shit that Aaron mentioned above, stuff is not cheap once you add it all up. Hopefully I can get my number that I want in a semi reasonable fashion mph wise, that way I don't get booted from the next track I go to. It all depends on where you are really, this last spring show and go at etown one kid was going 10 flat at 150+ in a mk2 vrt and they finally told him to slow down, lol.

im contemplating moving the launch control button back to the staging brake to help preload the drivetrain like i was doing last fall....compared to where it is now on the shifter. idk, prolly gonna try and just use it as is first few passes and just try and get better at slipping the clutch at the track next week and then go from there.

last fall i had gotten almost used to it, but this years setup seems to be a whole different animal. up top the car just seems like it wants to pull and pull for days. im almost nervous as to what it will feel like with 6-8 more psi cranking into it up there.
