Guess I'll have to throw in my 7A cams. I only have the exhaust cam in right now. I've gotta keep up with the Jones's!

That's a bad idea, the Jones's are bastards! But it is a good idea putting the intake cam in :-)

Darin, Marc informed me there really is no difference in intake cams between the 20v motors. It may be a waste of time to do that. I'm about to install my spare 7a exhaust cam finally.

I thought it's pretty well documented that there is a difference throwing a 7a intake cam in. Not a WHOLE lot, but enough that if you've got it, throw it in.
A la

I can't believe how much more smooth the torque delivery is with the 7A cams. Mmmm I like. Lets just hope it does the same thing for me!

Me either man!
So, I guess I need to figure out a trigger error I somehow introduced. Because I didn't have a whole lot that I could do to Oceanic today, I decided to tackle some organizational stuff and while doing that I managed to jack something up so that I now have a crazy trigger error. So bad that it won't start. I spent the last 4 hours trying to track it down to now avail. I will attack it again tomorrow after work, I just hope I can figure out what the crap happened.... asap.

Of course, still no progress with my trigger issue. I wonder if not having the trans connected to the engine is causing more signal interference than normal.

Well, that is the first place I went. I have checked, cleaned and even moved grounds around with no luck. :(

Still zero luck with the trigger error problem. Tonight I am going to tear apart my harness and go through the grounds, inch by inch. I will be seriously pissed if this is what keeps oceanic from attending BBQ.

You have trigger wheel on flywheel or up front? I'm sure you read but mine turned out to be a common ground in the ECU connection - wtf. AND I had grounds literally everywhere... so go through your grounds very, very well.

Ya, I'm running the Audi trigger set up. Tonight I at least got the damn thing to start. I did go through all my grounds again yesterday and still, no dice. I will take a closer look at my common ground tomorrow. Also, Marc has been helping me out, so he had me update to the new firmware, check timing and a few other odds and ends which got me to at least a start and instantly die status. OH and I fouled the crap out of two sets of plugs. I have 1 week as of tomorrow to get this bitch on the road. I would REALLY like to have some test drive time. LOL So lets hope that I get this bug worked out ASAP.

I attached a trigger log for those who are interested.

Man I wish I could help out, Ben.
My issue was where I was grounding my ECU to. That fixed everything for me. But you've already got that covered.
Do you have another set of crank sensors?

Thanks Phil, and up I have tried 3 different sensors with no luck. :(

Dang, can't view logs on my phone. The ground issue for me cause all sorts weird , inconsistent trigger errors. Both primary and secondary. I also moved from firmware 1.96 to 2.12 or whatever and back again, the car definitely liked the old firmware better. Wouldn't even see trigger on the new one. Now that it's fixed I'm going to try the new one again. Based on my problems I would have to say it's gotta be a ground somewhere.

Today I will go through my grounds one last time. I am thinking I will add some additional (redundant) ones just to be safe.
