I've got VE really well sorted at WOT now :)
I had set the auto-tune on in a very high traffic area and I put it to min data 1. BIG MISTAKE lol! Car stalled at a light when the fan went on and I had to start the car like 5 times to keep it running because fuel was set so lean where the VE was when the fan kicks up. I looked like a real student driver hah.

I stopped using it obviously ;)
These injectors are so smooth tho. Massive headroom left. Also today I'm reintroducing meth injection, although at a lower concentration than when it was in "bandaid" mode last week :hammer:

I have been going nuts trying to figure out why vems won't allow me to import VE table from another cfg and burn it. It just drops the changes and reverts. I tried everything like send then burn and accept changes, send, burn haha. Idk

Any chance you'd post your settings one of these days for auto-tune? :) I never know what to put for the delay and stuff

Let me try and get a pic, it was the defaults. Vems tune will act up like you describe above, usually completely restarting everyone helps for me

Also, use strait water. I have found its much more knock resistant than having 50/50

Wow no kidding?! I noticed huge jumps in operating temps after adding 2 yellow Heet bottles to the 5 gallon reservoir too. Couldn't believe how pronounced it was. I did just take out a gallon of mix and add a gallon of water too. Thanks that's good info!

I think I was thinking of VE tune by statistics as far as the delay (ms). I really wish I had solid settings for it. I ALWAYS jack up fueling using it :(

Yesterday I reached a whOle new level of fun with the 20vt after getting the upper high load areas dialed for duel and w/m injection. The 1st and 2nd gear pull I logged last night was very fruitful :D

I have always wanted to replicate a rich over-run condition like on srt4 cars that crackle pop and snap on decel. I was at .76 lambda during shifting last night and got nothing for backfiring. Before changing the injectors I had a lean misfire at one point. Would like to avoid that from now on though.

Anyone know what timing I should try running to produce the effect srt4's use to cool the exhaust between shifts? I think it's for cooling via fueling. Maybe? I just want to try it anyway to see what is involved in replicating it. Thanks.

Also tomorrow I'll have 2 of my first BRAND NEW cps sensors (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00FSC3OKS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1462886579&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=34905381) to go in lol. I think I was losing the signal towards redline from the drop and then sudden jump up I'm rpm in logs when getting a slight loss of power. Fingers crossed.

My instincts tell me to put the same retarded timing value used for launch control into the right half of the x axis and lowest row of the y axis for the ignition table.

Popping on the overrun is when you have fuel cut turned off. Normally injectors are cut below a certain vacuum value, not sure what exact setting you are after in vems butbit should be something related to fuel cut decel.

Interesting, thanks. You're probably still surprised my car hasn't windowed lol. Right? I picked up the over run thing from searching other forums today when I had a minute. Not sure if it's the verbal I intended. I just want to go rich instead of lean and produce the backfire and grumbling of the srt4's. I'll probably get tired of it but it might help me understand how launch control works too. I have the richness down, just curious which timing will produce the "noises" :D
I'll get it figured out

Make sure your CPS sensors are the same length when you get them! This was probably an isolated incident, but now I'm paranoid. The "direct fit" ones I got were exactly 1mm longer, and would have been a disaster if I had fired it up without checking. I just shimmed them and now it's all good!

Chris can we please be serious for a second here... lol j/k. I guess I didn't think it would be quite that easy hah

Thanks for the heads up! I have had that exact thing on my mind since purchase :) I knew I read that somewhere. Same brand? AIP I think. Need to check again.

Welp, I set overrun on below to 0 kPa as that's the lowest setting but the injectors still go to 0 output. I'm gonna msg Marc.

Followed some directions but the injectors still only go to 1.3mS at high vacuum and decel. Thoughts? :)

Ok I think I'm onto something here. When I get it working I'll gladly share. But then I'm probably the only person wanting to try this lol

Marc has been a tremendous help in figuring this out. I'll be able to test everything after work.
In other news though my CPS sensors were both the perfect size and a direct drop in :D

i started pulling my hair out again today. im not really sure what to retard the ignition to. i cant go lower than zero degrees in the VE fuel table and im not sure what id even end up with if i "cheated" as described here: http://www.vems.hu/wiki/index.php?page=MembersPage%2FDaniel%2FFirmwarerequest

i know youre all getting ready for carlisle but... lol ive got nothin. if you get a free minute and know possibly the range i need to get this little experiment working, please jump in :)

so far ive followed the instructions but im literally just dumping fuel at decel to the tune of .78 lambda but theres not even a crackle to hear from the tailpipe

i also feel like it behooves me to mention i lose a buttload of power at redline. the car basically feels like boost or fuel cut but im not hitting either. did i miss a step when i increased my redline? the car continues to rev fine right on through the power loss and i always shift after peeling my face from the dash

The thing is the problem was there before the new injectors also but I figured it was because of the lack of fueling before. I don't hear anything out of the normal when this happens either.

Some tinkering today and reverting to the stock FPR from 7a yesterday has the car feeling pretty healthy.

I've found that even with the new cps sensors, I get a ~200 rpm drop above 7400 rpm. A 1/100th or whatever of a second later and the rpm has climbed again to that point but another 20 higher and then the car continues to rev to redline. This only shoes in vems logs. The engine just revs as usual mechanically speaking but the power is waaay less.

I still have the funny idle though. Doesn't misfire and plugs don't look odd. Just the note skips around randomly.
