I guess we're partially waiting for head work to be done. I'm not pushing it though as I don't mind the extra money in my pocket. I am trying to pick up on some side ventures to help fund this more though.

Good to see it moving along. I can't wait for you to post some flow numbers. We will see what it does. Might inspire me to go solid lifter and a larger turbo later down the road. :D and of course dry sump.

Haha, same here! I'm already planning next winter either a dry sump or a dogbox.

Hiya guys!

I heard from Jeff today. Apparently he is having some special intake guides made. Should be some progress once those are done.

Let's get to some planning. Today's topic will be fuel system!

So, for 1200 hp (~8-900 whp being conservative) I calculate that I will need around 11,000 cc/min of fuel. In other words, about 175 gal/hr or 660 L/hr. That means 3 Bosch 044s would get that done. I think Nick printed a triple pumper setup for in-tank use... hmmmm!

I would really like to run a single Weldon though. Problem is, the bigger single Weldons say they are only rated for 80psi! I figure I will need more like 90-100 psi with base plus boost combined. Two Weldon 2015 pumps would get the job done VERY easily at 100 psi. They cost around $720 each... that's about the price of three Bosch 044.

Seems like an easy decision huh? Anyone think otherwise? I guess I'd have to turn them on one by one... that is the only problem I have with running 3 pumps.

For the regulator, I have a Weldon 2040, so I'm covered there. I'm thinking -10 feed AND return, although the 2040 only has a -8 return connection.

Injectors will be 10x FID1200. Manifold will require some massaging for running 10 injectors I suppose :(

Not sure what to run for filters, check valves, etc... what else?

Thoughts?!

Whoa. Lol. This is above my pay grade.

That's a lotta fuel. You want to run the 1200s because you like them the best, correct? Are you going to stage the injectors as well?

Yeah, I like the 1200s best. I think they're the most robust injectors available. The only others that compare would be the ID 1300s (and the same 11/1200s branded by other companies like FIC).

The other reason I want them is for driveablility. The 2000+cc injectors out there are pretty good on corn, but not quite there on gas.

For our 1500whp stuff, we run two in-tank 044s feeding a single Weldon 2345-A mechanical pump with a 2-3gal surge tank in the back of the car, with -10 lines and regulators in the engine bay. Gasoline cars get 6x ID2000s. We're building one that will be running E85 that will be running two sets of injectors, likely 1000s and 2000s. Fuel supply has not be a problem thus far.

Let me know if you want to change. I don't think there are any 2000s out there that are capable of idling better. Have you tried messing with battvoltage those kind of settings?

What is the fuel pressure you're running after boost? Maybe running a weldon in line makes it Ok to run higher pressure.

Hmm just noticed you said mechanical. I want to run one, but think it might be too complicated at the present time.
