Do you know if there is more camber adjustment than the stock pieces? Cause the common thing is not being able to get to stock camber levels when lowering T44's and C4 chassis cars.
Got it align last week. Camber was adjusted at -0.50 with those plates. -0.25 camber was the maximum I could go.

I hated the black from the start, just never took the time to do anything about it. White already is a brake dust nightmare as you can see from the picture. That's 3 days after getting painted. Oh well.

Alternator decided it was a good time to give up on life. I'm getting around 11.5 to 12.0 volts. Terrific.

Lame - I think we can just replace brushes though which are cheap.

Ok I lied. Voltage reg has ceased to exist. Grabbed the one out of my roommates s4's alternator since it's still not done.
Nobody tell him...

Might have an issue with my exciter wire. Can't get it to charge with a new voltage reg unless I'm cruising or above like 2k rpms.
Guh. I need a damn daily.

So Alternator was bad. It had a hole in the case. Like a literal hole. Completely roached. Switched it out for an extra 90 amp alt I had. That has served me fine for the past couple weeks.
Took the car to Vegas for Wuste this past weekend, No issues. Wish I would have had time to dyno it on the wheezing k26 but no worries either way.
HOPING to get the flares and v8 bumpers on this weekend. Also managed to remove the window/door trim off my v8 parts car without breaking it so I'm crazy excited to be able to get that replaced as well.
It'll probably look crazy funky with the flares on with all the tuck. So wide ass wheels *AND* tires will be coming soon as well.
It's the little things.

So I haven't done squat to this lately. Been focused on keeping it as a reliable daily. If all goes to plan I'll be grabbing a '14 TDI Golf for a daily so this can finally get some work done. I've got weird track issues in the front/rear end right now, follows every damn line in the road, even after it was aligned(but les schwab is the suck so that's not saying much)
Took it on a road trip to Vegas in early June for Wuste, had a lot of fun, dyno'd my roommates s4. Sooner or later he'll make a thread on here. Pulled damn close to 400 WHP on e85. It's got some boost issues to figure out and we need to throw a front mount on it and some meth, then it should hit 400 no problem.
Also took it on a road trip to So-Cal last weekend. This thing may be old but it sure doesn't let me down.
Pulled door trim off the v8 before it went to the scrapper, which is actually EXTREMELY exciting. I was under the impression it was impossible to remove this stuff without breaking it, and mine on the 5k is literally as badly damaged as it can be without coming off. Will have to go to a glass shop to get the rear windows removed safely and then I'll get it switched out. Just an FYI as well, the trim on 5k's is designed extremely poorly and the design is
much better and updated on 200's and v8's

Also slowly piling up parts. I have Flares, bumpers, trim, interior bits, and more exterior bits ready to be put on. I'd like to find some 200/100 doors in the near future as well. Tired of being apart of Team Door Handle.
Most of these things I've already said. But I feel like I need to update this with something. Even though nothing has happened.
Once I'm driving the golf this will be in Vegas for a little while to get a couple "things" done to it. Stay tuned for minimal horsepower.

500lb difference = .7 sec in the quarter.
Nice time Phil same as what Magellan's 20v ran and what my Avant ran. Was your run at altitude?

And the rule of thumb is 100lbs per .1
