Jim, you'll have to teach Hank how to weld body panels.
I'd like to get some b4 rears and run 245s on the 17x8s I have. That's enough for me.

uh oh. You might have to bring those along with Hank's fender roller.

looks awesome Jim - very nice. Really like those wheels, too (double six spokers - whatever they are)

Ok geekers, do I finish this in steel or epoxy fiberglass? Leaning heavily towards glass..

my vote for glass. My rear inner had rotted out. Used fiberglass to fix it. Did small areas at a time allowing to dry in between.

Steel. Are you doing this with MIG or TIG?

Mig in spot welds, or really small sections at once.
I am going to do it metal, just made some patterns and test fit the first piece and I can do each side in two pieces. I was concerned about taking the time to weld it and seal it, but sufficient tacks, seam sealer then undercoating will get the job done.

Metal should help you sleep at night, keep it cool like you did on the outside and it should look great.
3M panel bond may be another good sealer/reinforcement.

The good news is the power is back on, the bad news is it completely foiled my plan tonight! Must have power for welders and air compressors..

I would tack it and then seam seal it rather than 'glass - that is - unless you already did 'glass ;o]

The rear fender liner is all patched in with more parts from the front urs fender and ready for 2k primer, then seam sealer. I was going to shoot the primer tonight, but the can needs to be tossed in a shaker. I spent 20 min stirring it then called it a night.

A generator in southern California?

Mine is only a 4kW, and it's got a cali engine on it

Not big enough to run a large compressor or welder, unfortunately. I do have plans on getting a 7-8kW and using my smaller set for the trailer.
