I'm working out how to actuate it better. It seems that my external WG and the internal function of the VGT are fighting each other when pressures rise, not allowing it to build more than about 12psi when it's hooked up like a standard ext. WG turbo setup. with the WG signal line unplugged, the turbo will easily and quickly hit 25psi before i take my foot out, it also spools up very quickly at low RPM. I've ridden in a few big turbo cars, and it definitely drives/responds on the bottom/normal driving end closer to the OEM side on the scale.

I'd post a log for ya'll if i could get the computers to communicate :(

boost update, i made a physical stop for the VGT actuator arm so that under boost, the exhaust pressure can only open the VGT rack so far and no further, making the pressure inside more stable when the external wastegate opens. i went back to my original stock 3B spring, and turned the factory Allen down, got 12psi at first, then cranked it down some more and now am at 16psi, rock steady.

the GPS couldn't keep up with acceleration by about 10-12mph, it hit a buck ten in 4th pretty easy at 16psi. i'm gonna try and get out the ol' G-Tech tomorrow and do a 1/4 mile run or two for giggles. i laughed like a mad man after that hit, it's pretty hard not to :D maybe a video? :)

Wish I was still up there to get another ride in it now. Although, it was fun running it out of gas and being stranded.

yeah, i don't have a lot of time to play video games anymore, but i've been with GT since it came out, so i'm sorta loyal to it i guess. kinda like i'm into audis when hondas are clearly more popular :P

How is that alu exhaust holding up? I'm thinking about it for the Coupe.

so far so good. i was under the car to put in 034's street density tranny and diff mounts and looked it over and it appears to be fairing well. one of my rear square flanges is touching the rear subframe, so i need to adjust that one of these days. it makes a bit of a buzz under hard decel.

Whatever happened to to predetonation your were encountering? Did you get the computer to communicate and were able to tune it? exhaust sounds great, but I'd fire the camerman-too bouncy. I bet he picked his nose in your car too. HAHA.

is it ok to admit that i'm a bit afraid to put it in 5th and stand on it? i know where 4th gear will take me, and i haven't reached the end of 4th yet.

my friend bought a GoPro HD and so i was out for a run earlier playing around with it, pretty neat but there needs to be some fiddling with the housing for better sound quality IMO. it seems like quite a bit of wind and rattling.
