Since plans did not come together on finishing the air ducting, as I have to bend 2 pieces of aluminum water piping so I can keep the number of couplers and hose clamps reasonable. I installed the Christmas present I got from my wife. This solves my problem of losing the factory striker/latch, I fought the good fight but in the end the radiator and the fan shroud fit but the latch needs 1/4 inch more clearance and I am not cutting the ducting down to make that happen.

All the mounts are made but still need final locating and welding.

After welding and adjustment, should look like this

These are available as a locking version so I plan on getting one more set and mixing one locking and on non locking to do front and rear.

Yes they are easy on the eyes. They won out over a 2nd choice of latch because these are made in
USA and all metal.
And thanks.

Not much more got done to the car, and its been a while since last update. I am trying to jumpstart the project and save some time while doing so with engine work. I was going to do the engine assembly myself because I like doing it as much as the rest of the stuff. Contacting " Machine Shops " for machining quote resulted in: You have a "what" ?, No we cant do that, some where willing to machine but could not balance a " Whatsits " Crankshaft.

So in an awesome twist and said effort to have the rubber hit the road sooner than later, this developed: I called a person that knows how to work on " whatsits " engine and:

My (Spare) engine became my Primary got stuffed in a box with some parts that I had acquired over the years and got sent to a Area 51 like location for a photo opp.
