Only thing that scares me a little bit about using it myself on like header and exhaust is corrosion under insulation in some places .

The heat cycles from headers and exhaust would be more of a concern, as well as grit being trapped and being abrasive.

I'd be willing to bet the impact of less heat stress would lengthen the lifespan of electrical components near the exhaust like the starter.

Agree - I am not a fan of wrapping headers / exhaust either...

Simplest things seem to take the most time. Working on attaching all of the modules (Power Cell’s) in the car... still have one under the dash to do and then find a spot for the motion control module.

Removed the front fuse box, hacked it up, and attached the Power Cell.



Nice spot to install in right rear... dug out some old material, installed a hinge so that I can check fuses without having to unbolt.

2 nutserts so that everything stays in place.

Tap a Talk post issues... tried again.

That looks tidy.

I think I asked a bit about those Power Cells, but can't remember much about them. They're a plug'n'play Canbus module or something? Sorry to tread over old ground, I tried a half dozen searches and came up with bupkis.

No problem, they have had a couple of branding issues as they used to be ISIS, they rebranded to Infinity Box... it really minimizes wire and relays significantly.

I’ve never used the unit for power windows, doors and sunroof (in motion) but I’m sure it will work as well as everything else.

Good call on the name change! ISIS is not good

Been travelling quite a bit with work, springtime yard work and stuff, need to clean my mess in the garage as well but didn’t quite get there.

Hung the main module under the dash, put it on a hinge as well so that I don’t have to lay under the dash to program and stuff. Just the motion control module to install and then I’ll start pulling wire.

I was poking through your subframe install trying to see if you used a front swaybar. Are you going to install one?
I just installed my front subframe and control arms in my 80 but the factory swaybar is a no go with that setup.
I'm hoping to find a solution with your setup.

Yes, I am running front and rear seat bars, I’ll try to have a look tomorrow before I leave for work again and post some pictures.

Ok, I’ve been traveling a ton, upside was that I was able to bring some of Error404’s premium parts home from London so no shipping etc!!! (S2 Forum). Quality is 10/10...

I’m back on the road again (Alaska) but hoping to get some time to get after my wiring...

I need to have a look at what kind of parts he makes .

On the turbo ... it has its own oil pressure regulator for it ? As opposed to a sized Orifice in the fitting ?

He does quite a few parts - the carbon strut bar is From him - it’s very nice.

Yes, I’m running the TurboSmart pressure regulator rather than the orifice, maintains a constant 40 psi.

This is a big bump to get back to page one... after 18 months of literally doing nothing on my car due to family, work and some other projects I have slid the car back into the middle of the garage and have started putting some time back in the garage....

Picked up a QuickJack, bought the BL 7000SX so that I can lift other vehicles... just set it up but I really like it in absence of a full hoist which won’t fit...



Started wiring this weekend, slow and steady wins the race....

Glad to see you're back at it. I'm jealous of that quickjack.

Wiley brought his over to help with a brake job and I'm impressed with the ease and utility of the jack. Great solution for spaces that can't accommodate an overhead lift. Nice that they're so portable too, could be handy for track days.
