Ya, it’s kind of a dangerous place for non-garaged cars... I’m in the middle of negotiating with insurance but I do plan to keep the car. We’ll see how it goes but I think it would be smartest to buy a second car and take whatever time is needed to fix this one up... would give me a little more time to plot out the reconstruction I guess...

Well, anytime you modify a vehicle I guess it can be tricky to prove value but, in this case, I just want actual repair cost or current market value... insurance just came back with a low-ball offer that they “finessed” a little by averaging two local GLI’s and a few base level Jettas. Not sure how they thought I’d fall for that one but we’ll see how the next round goes.
