Shifter linkage? How did you manage to weld in the parking lot - do you bring a flux core mig with you lol?

It's telling you to maintain it!

Yeah flux core saves the day! I thought I had an extra one still attached to my 3.89 5ktq trans at the storage unit so I ran up there....discovered NO linkage....so grabbed the welder and did it right then and there at the car wash where it broke!!!

do you have experience to back this up, or is this just a theory? I used a 20vt WG on my car, and never had an issue with boost creep. My car was around 350whp, maybe more at 30psi.

I had my boost set at 17, and it would creep to 20 if I was in 4th or 5th.

You also have to remember that this is on a 20v, which has an awful exhaust manifold design when compared to the 3b/AAN. Not all of the cylinders even feed the WG...

Wilfred,

17 psi with what turbo?

K26/T04e

The old "K26 H.O." that 034 sold a while back.

So I am now so exhausted and tired because of this car, I am merely laughing and chalking today as "God's Wrath".

10 miles into the cruise, I get on it hard going up hill and then I lose all power with a HUGE smokescreen suddenly behind the car. Check the engine....fucking igloo popped off the CIS dizzy. The cylinder rings were already smoking, so I pretty much expediated the death of the current ones.

THEN as I drive back to the storage unit 35 miles away to get the v8, I put my code in at the gate, go to put the car in gear.........won't shift into gear and grinds like a MOFO just trying to get into 1st. Clutch is now completely shot.

All this happened today after I broke the shift linkage, discovered a missing banjo bolt to the wastegate, and put $40 in the tank. Guess the 3.89s, clutch, rings, etc and possibly VEMS are getting expediated now. God I hate cars

Man, this was turning into a good day for me, and a shitty one for you. Sorry to hear that you lost another set of rings/pistons. I hope the V8 holds up until you can get this back together.

You're damn right it will make me feel better! LOL

It will go to funding the either the re-ringing if the pistons arent shot, or the new build

I will say this however; this car pulls FUCKING HARD on 16psi with the CIS and Turbo setup. It will go from 70-120 in like 4 seconds. Nucking Futs

So it's looking like I'm going to start the rebuild process....AGAIN....lol

I will soon have a Southbend Stage II OFE clutch on the way. I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and order a lightweight 20vt flywheel from 034. Not happy about it, but I don't know of any other options.

Hank says he may have an aluminum MC1 flywheel running around so we shall see.

I'm going to start working on the body while the car is down, as the exterior needs work badly. It's about time the car started looking like someone has a bunch of time and money into it

Why not just run a 3b flywheel? Is the clutch 20vt specific? If so, i didn't know a "lightweight" 20vt flywheel existed? the heft to them are the raised outer edges, and if you have a 20v flywheel specific pressure plate you'll need those raised edges for it to work.

I AM CONFUSE

The MC1 flywheel is a very heavy dished flywheel. The pressure plate is built to match it. The MC2/3B fly wheel is the thin plate like flywheel that uses the same type pressure plate as 01A cars.

Yeah I understand that. The question, is what is the pressure plate for? I'd imagine mc1 since the 20v clutch kits are crazy cheaper than 20v clutch kits.
But 034 also doesn't make a LW 20v FW AFAIK?
