I've been seriously contemplating box flares on my 200, I might get in trouble since it's a 20v avant though...

Thanks , thats lots of work. But repair in case of mishap would be easier with molds. Maybe its time to learn fiberglass.

Do it , i have seen B5 Avant with boxflairs and though it was square" ich" it locked very sexy.

A little bit more hammering and some tweaks and i can start on the noses of the fenders. Once that is done the rear quaters will be next.

So i am working on the noses of the fender and i needed some targets for measurements , witch resulted in some parts removal.

The offending parts removed

Thing that are being modified so noses can get finished

More things i have learned doing this build:

Use New sheet metal , stripping the paint of used metal to make it weldable Eats Allot Of Time.

So work on the nose of the fenders is on Hold. The turn signals are just not stable enough to get the frame placed with any kind of
accuracy . I need eurolights to make that happen the way i want it to , as i only want to do this once . To top that off , i think i need to
redo the Headlight mounts to place the light further back . So i will focus on the rear of the car until i get some
one piece headlights .

Looks like a radiator is going into the Trunk. Working on supplying air to make that happen. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Has this been done before on a street car? If so where the results successful or failures?

You should pick up a wheel and tire that you are thinking about running. Just to make sure your build is going to look and fit right. Although I can already tell your bodywork skills are way better than mine so I am sure it will be great either way

audifreakjim Your Flares turned out super , I was gona copy those. ( and then the voices I my head started )Only difference is you cut into 5% of your car and I am cutting 70-80%.
Derhare Not shure on the wheel , But I was thinking 17x9 or 17x10.

Got a couple of hours done on the car tonight.

Removed backseat center pivot mount


Also all the control units under the backseat are now gone


All this meant having to be in the car. Getting in and out a few times I realized just how Light these cars are in the Rear. Glad I am adding weight in the Trunk to hopefully offset that a bit.

Received the bumper yesterday, and slid it under the car. Needs to get Wider, plus the top edge of the center opening would look better Straight (to me anyways). Maybe I get some time tomorrow to work on the car. Ill keep you guys posted.

Looks good man, keep putting in the hours and it will be ready for paint before you know it. Will be watching!
