Bought a oem "NAVAN" bumper off my friend for a pretty damn good price. Only made for one year in japan. Really should make the car stand out

My buddy picked up a front clip for his car awhile ago and had a set of MINT OEM japanese tails for sale, for a great deal i couldn't pass. Here they are after some old blue tint was removed and then installed on my car.

Yea old tensions rods were destroyed. Every time i would apply the brakes at highway speeds to slow down the wheel would shake uncontrollably. Thought it was the lower control arm bushings, but when i removed the LCA to install new balljoints the bushings where just fine. Noticed the tensions rods didnt hold any tension at all and fell downward.

Whats up guys, little update..... been awhile
But i ordered more stuff then, I originally planned on getting. My friend told me it would just be more logical and less of a headache to pull the motor out and to wrench on it.
So knowing that my motors going to be pulled for this project, and wrenched on in a period of few days once everything i need is purchased, I bought a little few more goodies to freshen up the motor while its out.
Full top end gasket kit ( headgasket up all the way to valve seals )
Copper exhaust gasket
plastic intake spacer/gasket ( suppose to keep temps a little cooler )
Re-Clocking kit for my t28 so i can run s13 240sx front mount piping with ease. ( also purchased new cleaner piping of a friend i have to pick up )
Gaskets for turbo
EGR block of plate ( who needs dated emission stuff on a obd1 car anways )
silicon dust boots for tie rods ( fancy i know lol )
ARP head studs
Rack bushings
LCA bushings
AEM wideband
Pro sport boost gauge
Powered By Max electrical 3in1 Oil Pressure/ Water Temp / Volt meter gauge ( pretty cool little thing )
Full race Vacuum block
Tein inner and outter tie rods with spacer
Front and Rear main seal
new O-rings for injectors
New water pump ( just to play it safe )

Ordered New fully adjustable Rear arms for my sub frame, Shooting for a event in July, hopefully all goes well. The car would still be N/a but ive had many people close to me who drift keep telling me start of with no power for a better learning experience

Just as a BTDT, the AEM wide band is quite slow compared to most of the others. The deisgn is nice and compact, so they are nice, but the display on the gauge trails the desplay in Megatune by a good 2-3 seconds. Doesnt sound like much, but if you are relying on it for tunning, its a good thing to know.
Otherwise, this is an awesome project. I wish I would have picked one of these up when I had the chance, fun cars.

Thanks for the reply, and feedback. I got a deal on the gauge its not what I orginally wanted to run but cant pass up on a deal. The cars getting a mild safe custom rom tune. Couple of people I know had no issues with the rom tune so the guage is more for peace of mind lol

Soooo a little update, signed up for an event last Saturday and spent a good week preparing my car for this event, ALOT of blood, sweat, time, money blew that week. In the end after everything was installed to run this event N/A comfortably and still have fun, my RLCA decided the break off its threading :( >_< . So heres a bunch of pictures i took through out different days.

REAR IS OUT
Untitled by
M.M Photography2012, on Flickr
Old adjustable suspension you can say was a little sketchy, the bearing fell right out once un bolted
Untitled by
M.M Photography2012, on Flickr
Finally opened the diff i bought over a year ago to find out it is actually a 2 way locking diff

( I had a minor set back where the output flanges werent swapable with what was currently in my VLsd, so i had to drive to new jersey to source near impossible axle set of a infiniti J30 and a 300zx )
Untitled by
M.M Photography2012, on Flickr
Subframe coated with flat black rust proof paint and rust curing, new arms installed, installed r33 skyline ebrake cables, installed new 300zx rear left assembly
Untitled by
M.M Photography2012, on Flickr
Had to roll and slightly pull my rear quater and front fenders to fit my new wheels
Untitled by
M.M Photography2012, on Flickr
Untitled by
M.M Photography2012, on Flickr
And then this happened a few hours i was about to leave for my event the adjustable RLCA descided it didnt want to hold onto its threads, and sheared off the threads, the wheel was completely toe'd in and that was after alot of tugging. The rim destroyed some threads on my coils but ill never go that low to worry about that. So with a broken car, no refund for my event fee or credit i was assed out. My friend has a set of stock s14 rlca he gave me for the price of buying him ice cream and they were installed later that day. Car feels solid.

A bit of an update, pretty much changed directions with my build. Sold off pretty much everything i couldn't use on my next setup. I bought two sr20det's off my friends. One motor is super low mileage runs, the other had a spun bearing but a fresh top end with Tomei cams and internalls.

Love how much further ahead your S14 is than mine. Looks awesome with those concave wheels! Just wanted to double check front rim specs... +20 with 20mm spacer (+0 effective) or +20 effective after spacer? Thanks

I couldnt log on for the longest time i forgot my log in info -_-, so yea the wheel is a +20 wheel with now a 15mm bolt on spacer bringing it out to +5 and front aligment is at -4 with 7 degrees caster and toe as straight as possible.

UPDATE:
Cleaned and check the bottom of my head to see if it was still within spec, aswell as the deck of the motor. All was well, so me and my friend started slapping parts on.
Cleaned the block with a straight blade and scuff pad

Rear bash bar is custom hand made by a Fd driver Miro , it has a jack point that's easier accessible in the rear, a tow hitch that is mounted be hind the plate, and also a bash bar that bolts right into the factory rear crash bar support. The battery box needed some holes drilled into the trunk to get it sturdy, also prepped and cleaned the metal and sprayed primer/paint in the area to prevent rust from occurring.

It was sopose to be done a few days ago but been hitting a few bumps down the road, and working them out one by one. The maf i was using from my friends Sr20 was the same year but different design so it didn't work. As of now the car starts but struggles to hold an idle.
