Sometimes it's just the little cosmetics things that do a whole lot to a car...

all-red tails? Very nice. Off of a V8 or did you spray them?

The car sounds sick. Nice job vs the b5 even if only 10psi
I need to take some exterior vids of mine.

Thank you, I will have to get a picture of the exhaust it is pretty epic in it's own way haha. Twin 2 1/4" from the split at the DP with two 2 1/4" Glass Packs, 2nd gear sounds amazing... I really need to open up the airbox!
For the tails, I used anodized paint, it allows light to shine through... the hardest part is making sure you tint your tails a bit darker (If going for the red look) the first car wash will take it down a slight shade. Even up close I cannot tell the difference now.

Also in the process of consolidating a TON of my garage/car stuff so the bad news is all free time is occupied clearing everything out, the good news is I have been doing a good job of recuperating money for the 200's efforts

Nice project, I like that it has lots of personality and also happens to be pretty damn quick! If you don't mind I'm going to copy your method for the tail lights since I have been shamed me into doing something about them ASAP. I really like them all red like you have them! Keep up the good work, I'll be following along!

Thanks dude! Just make sure they are really clean and you do 7-10 light coats 10 minutes apart. they will turn out perfect.Hope to see lots of stuff from your car too!
Oh, and big news....
I finally got my plate.
The lady at the registry asked me how long I had to wait to get my vanity plate...

I bought a set of sway bar bushings for about 13£ Shipped to the USA off ebay uk. The old ones looked kind of toast so I figured it would be an easy 5 minute job - HAH. Once I had everything apart I realized how much of a pain in the ass it is lying on your back in the street trying to get these bolts in. There was so much excess material it was a complete pain in the ass to get them sucked in together.
Anyway, after an hour of greasing up the muscles and grommets I used a bit of rage, 5lb sledge and a shaved 19mm box wrench to get everything done.
To be honest this has been the best "power adder" to the car since I have bought it. It sounds weird but the car pulls so much faster and so much firmer than before, ESPECIALLY around corners accelerating. Before it was very uneasy taking any corners, the steering wheel was soft, and it just felt like it was floating around. These bushing are so smushed in there that they are keeping the car completely level even at 60mph with old worn out oem shocks.
If you haven't changed them GO DO IT!
Also I have a cool little package coming.

Koni Sport Shock In Stock 2 $106.00 $212.00
H&R Sport Spring Set In Stock 1 $247.00 $247.00
Koni Sport Cartridge In Stock 2 $141.00 $282.00
I bought everything through tirerack.com surprisingly... and everything together was ~780 SHIPPED. All the parts were around 740... pretty sweet deal for all four corners + adjustable dampening. I have never used KONI but after reading through everything I think it is worth a shot - Especially since I will not be re valving bilsteins anytime soon (Which seem to be the proper choice for a SERIOUS suspension setup)
I think it's the last thing I will buy before upgrading the turbine. I'm really really glad I held off on power before fixing the suspension issues. The car will be able to use the new found power correctly now.
Another small upgrade that makes the car feel newer... maybe with a little more time I can get close to what rolled off the assembly line plus a little extra
I'm rambling, goodnight.

I have 125k on mine and they didn't look "that" bad - before my car was going to roll over doing 60 in a corner, this morning I hit one at 80 and it was completely solid.

So what exactly did you end up doing? Konis and what springs? Coilovers?

Nice! Your project is coming right along! At this point I can't even imagine what driving a totally suspension-refreshed 200 would feel like, but I bet it feel pretty damn sweet

Thanks, I used to find myself always babying it while in boost around corners or big pot holes. Kind of felt like I was just sailing a big sailboat. Even at the softest setting these have great rebound.
Loxx I ended up just doing a cupkit I couldn't beat 740 shipped - If I had a decent non flux welder I would have made the coils myself, but alas I think this will do for daily duty.
If I had to do it again while installing I would have chopped 1/2 or 1 coil off the front (They sit really high even considering the fender line) I'm hoping they will settle a great deal. I would also put the koni's on 40% stiff in the front and 60% in the rear.
Useless without images!

finally got it to the 1/4 for the first time. The car has TOO MUCH GRIP! (or not enough power)

I could not do anything to not bog the car (wasn't too bad)
Definitely has a 13 second pass in it -

not too shabby for the stock turbo (Has anyone run a k24 200 faster than this?)

Holy shit, talk about dead nuts even! That's exactly what my 200 did at the strip last weekend!

Mine was 14.3@ 93mph, I'm hoping for a 13sec slip as well, I think my fuel filter is clogged, I'm having running issues in higher gears under high boost/WOT. Looks like we might have a little drag rivalry brewing

Good time! I got a 14.6 @ 95 out of my bone stock 245k mile S4 (2.05 60', 9.45@73 in the 1/8), but I really had to give it a lot of revs at launch.

Nice, I too went with Konis and H&Rs recently. Very happy with the look and the ride quality. A little jarring over some bigger bumps, but I went 1/2 turn from full stiff on both front and rears.
Mine:

Wow! That avant looks awesome man that color is perfect... I am a little sad I didn't set them a bit stiffer, I do miss a good tooth breaking
Oh well at least the lady has been asking to take the 200 on trips now. Before she said she always felt like she was going to throw up haha.
