Gonna be doing the fluid in the rear diff this weekend, as I don't know when it was done...if ever. Also picked up a new oil pressure switch.

Oil pressure switch is done, seemed easy enough...but I was wrong again lol. It's a 24mm deep socket which WAS one of the only sockets I did not have. Then when I picked one up the extension I had was to short lol. So I used my breaker bar. Got the old one out and out poured oil.... Probably a good 1/4 qrt. Hopefully there is not a next time but if so ill use a dip pan. Hardest part of all was putting the new one in. 2 things I learn today, 1. Let engine cool before sticking hands need block. 2. I have fat hands I guess, or I need Justin Beiber like hands to put thins thing in.

Had to use pliers to install the screw with fingers (yes, the fat ones) then finish with the 24mm on the breaker bar.

I hope my leak is gone now ill have to wait till Monday to find out for sure, there is still oil in and around from when it dripped out the hole but I'm sure it will burn off soon enough or ill drive through some puddles.

Re: Kennys UrS4: coolant flush confusion

today was a semi productive day, diff fluid change, tranny mounts changed, and coolant flush...I think.

I followed the below diy for coolant flush with the advice from Austin and buddys dustin. I know the urs is a 9L coolant system. I drained 4ish L from the rad with it being at operational temp ( car was off) weird I thought. then I flushed with about 8L distilled water till the stuff coming out was clear. filled with G13 coolant. I was only able to get 4ish L in, same as I drained. wtf? did I miss something here?
http://www.urs4faq.info/g11g12-coolant- ... procedure/

on the plus side, tranny mounts were ok. changed anyway. pass side had a little tear and was twisted a bit. dvr side was normal. the diff fluid was pretty dark, and thick. ( no jokes ) I used fuchs 75-90 gear oil in the diff. let me tell you, filling a diff sucks... I was on ramps in my drive way and it was taking forever.

any advice on the coolant issue would be great guys, just wanta make sure shes ok for winter.

Had to take off my 17s cause pot holes messes up my Dvr side front tire. Wheels look ok but the tire is a write off. Back to 15 inch steel wheels.

If you can take a pic of the pothole with these shots you could probably get some reimbursement from the city.

My parents tried that once, in st Louis visiting my sister. Hit a HUGE pothole, screwed the rim and tire. It was just past the white line on a highway exit and the city fought it saying past the white line is your fault etc... don't think my parents got anything and they had to buy some wheels down there. Made for a good vacation! Lol

What happened with the pot hole? And for the coils... Were you chasing a misfire or just for peace of mind/new components?

Things got busy and i sold the b5 wheels and moved on. As for the coilpacks, i got a good deal on the new ones so i jumped on it. Car felt ok with stock coils in never had issues but i think the new ones will feel much better.
