Looks good Dan. The IM is already perfect, and my head is stock. At some point I may build a head with cams, valves and porting, but it's pretty necessary at this point. Doing that would require a larger clutch, fuel pump and injectors. They are all running at ~85-90% capacity currently.

Thanks!
Greg and I are coming over and we're installing one of those 34mm "IMSA" intake restrictors, that way, you can run the stock clutch and 87oct fuel!!!

Started the car this weekend on the new motor. Fluidamper is supposed to be here this week. Also going to miss our track day at spring mountain :( But thinking about thunderhill instead.

From Issam? I'll be interested to see how that works as the pulley on the front of my engine is less than pretty and I was thinking of getting the TT-RS version anyway.

Yeah, from Issam. It's easy for me to convert to 6-rib since I only have an alternator to drive. I have a TT-RS pulley that is spoken for, but I do need to sell it. They are fluidamper style as well, but originally designed for half my HP. Given the recent events, I am doing everything within reason to keep that flywheel from ever coming loose again. Loctite obliviously being step 1!

If the "spoken for" falls through, let me know. I'm also only running an alternator (1700lb cars don't need power steering) so I'll be keeping an eye on this. How are you running the alt/water pump, off of a jackshaft?

Lol never mind on the water pump... I made it backwards to about page 99 and saw you were running a BMW electric pump. Didn't see if/where you said which BMW it was from though.

335 turbo 6 style motor. They are known to fail every 40-50k miles. I keep a good used spare in the trunk that I picked up for real cheap. I figure any electric water pump is going to have similar lifespan. I have not figured out the speed control yet, it doesn't respond to PWM like the older BMW pumps are supposed to.

Hmmm, thinking I might build a jackshaft and use the stock pump since I don't need to move the alternator.
No issues with the stock pump you know of?

Hank does a great impression. I should go to therapy, but it's easier just to keep me feed and caffeinated.
