so the official end of vacation shotz. here is where i ended up for this time off work.
i refuse to put the door bars in until i am completely done on the interior. i have BTDT and it blows. the rabbit is a pain in the ass to work on the inside. they are small to begin with. i have the D-bars yet to do, which require a plate on the tunnel. but those bars and the door bars are all thats left of the cage. i am probably gonna take a tube to the struts from inside the car, just because. but i am pretty sure its all pretty stiffly tied together, just a hunch.
i am going back out in a bit to work on some gauges in dash parts. but i think i am going to paint the interior back to factory red. well, red. and then do the cage either silver or gunmetal. not going to the length of outside color match on the inside, although my painter friend wants badly to do the engine bay on this car. which will require a complete strip of the bay. i will do that when i get the car back from the shop thats going to make the exhaust manifold.... i get some fit-up done for the intake mani, AWIC, catch can, coolant tank, and fuel cell, my alum welder buddy can get to work on that stuff as well.
i have alot left of this but i got ALOT knocked out this past couple weeks.

and to finish for the day, some dash work. i lent my gauge hole-saw to a friend, and now i gotta go buy a new one.... i cant do the layout for the cluster yet as the Tach was on backorder. but the oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, voltage will go in the center, with some switches....
the boost, tach, and EGT will go center. and i dunno yet on the vent hole. maybe nothing. maybe the WB02 display. have not gotten that far yet

i been workin on some other things.... (shiny-itis anyone?)

ha. ha. ha. cant hurry what i have not a part in aside from paying for....
but i did some little work tonight. got the holesaw. cut some holes, mounted some gauges. and now relaxing.
at least i did something today.

i think i am going to load it up this weekend, and take it to storage after i go by the scale and weigh it. front, rear, full car. just so i know where i am at i guess. but i am gonna put it on the back burner i think. sure i have lots to do but i need key parts that are holding things up, so it'll go out and the rabbit will come back. if i can get to it during the week, i will run the rabbit this weekend. if not, then i will drop the trans on the rabbit, and run it next weekend.
here is a craptastical camera phone pix, the camera died.

i didnt do anything. just letting y'all know.
well, i may do something. i got the torx bit to remove the lock cylinder. maybe i will go out and do that.
or maybe not do anything.
just keeping those who watch this posted. and i did nothing at work for 9 hours. sat at my office. drove around to a few stores, looking for an o-ring that will fit for my TB flange. i got the bit of course.
i still hear that damned Disney music, Johnny.
oh, and i got two 14 x 1.5 bolts for making wheel mount studs. it sucks trying to fight a wheel AND a brake disc when you have no calipers on the car.
ok. thats all i got.
and i cant wait to drive this thing.
EDIT: i took out the lock cylinder and cut the lock part off.
Dave, you the man

got the manifold (thanks Issam) and started fitting the AWIC. will cut off the flange and pipe now on the manifold, and will make new stuff to meet the AWIC where it sits. the car will have only one boost pipe; from turbo to AWIC.

and to visualize it better, this part will be gone, and the plenum will connect to the flange for the TB directly.

Looking very good man, love all the custom stuff.
Mike R. the other fast V6 single turbo coupe told me about your car...
This is the only project that scares me at the moment.
Mike is building my car at the moment, a twin gt2860rs 3.0L 034 IIc injected Audi S4...

Mike R is Ringlord..... yes i like his setup very nice.
this car is only a 4cyl....
and its ok, we are from different sides of the continent.... and one big happy go-fast family

but that S4 sounds like a nice project. any pictures or build of it yet?
Johnny, the manifold just left the house here. with the AWIC. and the parts for the fuel cell and catch can. all custom. i think the manifold is not going to look like it does now when he is done with it. but picture the BOV right off the side of the AWIC. and catch can where the battery used to be. and fuel cell under AWIC. i am going to have it so i can reach into the hole where the turn light used to be and open the fuel cell, fuel it up with not opening the hood.
i will open to check anyways, but i wont HAVE to.
here it is, from last year

i just did the math on my new slicks. 24.5 x 8.5 tire has an actual measured diameter of just over 25"... woohoo

I'll start my own thread, just wanted to say I  it...
I ran into a bad luck in doing my heads myself, I dropped a valve at the end of the season. Car did 587 whp at 21 psi on pump gas.
The valve destroyed one piston and one turbo...
God my hands on a strocker crank, then decided to go 3.0L instead of 2.8
Mike's brother is repainting the car, it's getting a new clutch, (my 3rd twin disc), fuel cell system and a cage :bashtard:
Then whe get to see 28 psi :-D

wow. killing twin disc clutches? that does not sound like fun from where i am sitting. i am just stepping into the FX700 this car....
my axles are made there in Canada, in Gatineau by Marco of A1CVTech.
what do you run for axles? and six speed or 5 speed?
actually, i will look at your build when you make a thread on it.... but i am interested in all the setups of this caliber for sure.
