The car has run like a top today, and the days before since its been back together. You know...the normal rattles and diff thuds and clunks. haha. The rear rear diff mount decided to kill itself in the time it was apart for some reason. I haven't serviced the mount because its an early diff(4:11) so you need to remove the diff whole to do the mount. ugh. so i deal with whirring and clunks and aggressive hop in reverse til now i think. shes run well and deserves a reward and a few revisions also. Its also on its first synthetic oil change. I went with 5w40 Rotella t6. Cheaper than Mobil 1 at Tractor supply and miles better. Its quieted it down a bit but the injectors are still a racket. lol
I need to address a few things before the boost goes up.
Rear diff is noisy as all hell and the diff mount is hosed. Realistically I should just take a late 4k diff that I should have a few of and swap in the 100mm CV's. Also after a fairly long trip I got to my hometown at a friends. Funny enough, the end of my street, and had some magic smoke, no big deal a wire just was tangled just it chaffed and grounded. Shouldn't be a big deal, hopefully. I parked it when it happened so I could make a new wire and come back in the AM. something to do with the injector 12v from the fuse-box. So i need to check grounds other stuff and bla bla too. Who knows, but it ran amazing all day and no problems til i got to town!!
Speedometer. I either need to swap in a 5k speedo or just use bluetooth and vems. If I mount a tablet I wont have a visible gas gauge. I havent looked into if I can add a fuel level into vems?

Glad to see it back together and driving. Sounds Fantastic. And nothing wrong with slowing down because you see people, that's a pretty smart thing to do.

Finally got a chance to look at the wiring it seems that there are wires wrapped around the steering column. Guess that explains why the wideband gauge stopped working randomly.the wire ties had broken and were still barely attached to the few wires. Pull my flyback wire for injectors and wideband 12v/ground wires from im not sure where yet...hopefully not right out of the back of the gauge. Maybe tonight after my hand gets iced for the day had a lil accident monday night with a hand crank winch. Released tension with my.hand in the path of.the crank. 4 whacks later. I blacked out a min. No breaks but wow.

Also in case I didnt mention I DID weigh the car recently. This car has no PS no A/C, front mount rad and good size FMIC. Fairly heavy turbo manifold and turbo too... Stock manuyal rear windows. Full interior, 1/4 tank of gas and my 270 lb ass. 3020lbs. Impressive if you ask me :-)
no "more" boost yet. FW ring gear needs to be....fixed. Mine hasnt come apart but Seans ring gear has exploded on his car.....

Wow, 380 at the wheels... and "only" 16psi. Can't wait to see that HX40 really open up with more boost.

Nice work. Really loving everything you have done with the car so far, and you have taken your time.
Kudos!

whats up with all the self restraint? Impressive.
I'm usually like...hmm 15 psi is good, 30 must be twice as good. I was right.
