With that stance, your car looks like it will pounce in the air on the launch! As long as you land before 60 ft, you should be ok

oh i am gonna lift the rear a bit. strap the front end. maybe a wheelie bar. and once i get all the stuff on it, it mak come down a little on its own as well.

i just tossed them on last night for S-n-G.... to see what it looks like. and cuz Janis has been on me to do so the moment i got them back :D

oh yeah Mike; they are linking your build thread on yours over on S2forum lately.....

Oh yeah? what section??
and to answer a previous question of yours that I just noticed, yes, i'm currently using the selector rod only on my 01e, I dont have the stabilizer rod hooked up, as the stock cq shifter doesn't have one of those.

i read that too, about 2nd gear launching.

no chute i think until 150 MPH and/or 9.99.

and one thing i noticed about Paavolas' car: he is still running an 01A trans :o watch the inside video a little closer, look at the shifter. that looks to me like the one i took out of the car.... 01A, correct? no wonder they keep breaking trans.

Paavola has been running with 6speed 01E since 2006. Or was running, that box gave up the ghost at the last race of 2008. They didn't have any problems with the gearbox before that, but they kept breaking rear diffs.

hmmm. good to know. so they use (like Ringlord then) an 01A shifter on the 01E trans?

now i am going to go home and fiddle around with my stuff again.... no i am not. mine is done and through.

but still, good to know these things.

wish i could get info on their suspension setups... you wouldnt happen to know?

parts post again. took the intake back to the plenum plate, a fine machined product by the Wiz....

and some MORE fittings :frustrated: small changes require a few more fittings. after getting some plans with the cell, etc making it all work together does not always go as first planned. but its ok.

i decided to bow to the inevitable, and just run a rear cut-off switch and battery box. was kinda scratchin my head to figure where to put it anyhow. but since my speed will dictate a rear switch as mandatory, may as well do it from the get-go.

and some filters, for the catch can. yes, all 3 for the catch can. wait til its done its gonna be pimp. its ALL gonna be pimp.

this may sound like a ridiculous question but, those vids that you posted a page back of that red coupe....what tires is he running? cause it didnt look like slicks.

by speeding-g60
look at the second vid @ 1:24 time.... i think he runs slicks, and if not he is doing real good on whatever he runs....

Care to explain the reasoning for all the filters? (or even just what the heck their configuration is going to be)

P.S. I know they are for the catch can

Definitely Badass :)

Aaron is that your final seat position? It looks to close to your harness bar to me. I dont know the IHRA regs for harness install, but for SCCA your belts need to be at a certain distance and angle.

Just a thought.

Keep up the good work man.

Hayden: final seat position, built after bar. NHRA mandates no more that 6" from back of helmet to hoop. and hoop needs to be at least 3" above helmet. and harness bar no more than 4" below shoulder.

45 degree for belts, going back of the direction of travel. give or take on the angle a little....

and thanks all. if only you could see it in person....
