I agree... I kind of like the beige color in a "sleeper" kind of sense. A friend had a brown 944 then a brown 911 and both were cool in an odd sort of way. It's less flashy...

If you HAVE to change the colour though...the more I think of it, the more I like the idea of Denim Pearl with Silver Arrows accents. Do the world a favour though, get a professional job..no Maaco butchering of such a classic car...please?

I don't think you really have a urq. I've only seen three pictures of a urq in your gallery and I'm starting to think they are from some other website and you are claiming its yours!
You'll have to prove that it really exists with some new pics that are time stamped.

that is super cool. yes, you super suck.

gold is really easy to take care of and it screams classic urq imho. could you try to warm up to it? if not, may i recommend the urq factory blue color?

embrace the 80s
they do look damn mean in black though.

Nice find Derracuda- welcome to the small but insane club of urq ownership. They are a PITA but somehow they are so worth it!

Gobi is one of the rarer colors. Its quite nice when cleaned up.
And about 50% of the urq crowd will publicly disown you when word of a respray gets out. (Especially a Gobi)
well, after sleeping on it and my mind going to town as i tried to sleep i made sure not to completely rule out the stock color. it is a sleeper color and i think it would look good with a nice SQ hood (which i have and with a bunch of work could probably turn it into a nice piece) and one of those taller tail spoilers lika dees...

and with all the trim bits and pieces cleaned up and painted nice new black that would help too. along with an updated set of front headlights and grille....and tinted windows and taillights...hehehe. i'll likely stick with the stock color just so i can work with the accents to make it look good as i like doing that, but more so not get skinned alive by the purists

the reason i thought about going with a different color is because the level of work involved at which repainting would require, i could change color and it not be an issue. it would look pretty hawt with a silver paintjob like this....

derracuda wrote:the BBS's are the stock 15x7.5" jobbies from a 200 20v, and man, the look way better on the UR

Those are also the same BBS from the V8q's, if you were wondering. Also, they fit on the 5kq, but just barely!

Think Rick Schwalenburg's Gobi 20V RS2 Urquattro.
Super fast.
And just to get you into the Mood with the Gobi..... WHAM!!!
http://www.bufkinengineering.com/Quattr ... arview.aviAnd yes, the urquattro is playing with the chipped S4 Avant. Notice the Avant passes all kinds of Minis and Porsches.

Your car has some great stuff on it - the Abt extension, both the intercooler and lower radiator shroud - so many cars are missing those...
I, too, really like the 20V BBS wheels on the urq. I use them for snows...
enjoy it!

You need to sell this car. It has an obvious unoriginal non urquattro part. See that bit of shiney chrome on the door handle from a 4000 or coupe GT!!
I'll give you 50 dollars for the whole car.

Yeah I noticed that too. And practically no rust. A great car cause all the parts are there in the engine bay.

Don't you DARE fit one of those oil cooler spec rear spoiler's, IMO they do not suit the thinner lines of the ur, they look good on an A1/2 ur. A decent suspension job, euro bumpers and some decent wheels with some Porsche mono's behind them. Then go daft on the hp (20v of course)
Nomex flame suit on and waiting for the grief from those that have the huge spoiler on thin ur's.
